The off-script discussion starting at 4:00 is great -- so nice to hear ISTJs presented alongside their potential to evaluate and adapt to change.

The first clip about that guy from big bang theory explaining _in full detail_ about all these different external things that influence the inner experience all these different internal sensation problems now and later is perfect example of Si. What is good about the example in this case is too that while comfort sounds a sort of in the moment experience, Si is actually pretty long term perceiving orientated too. Sometimes it's also about doing the uncomfortable thing now in order to get the increased reward (the "comfort) later. For example, if you eat healthy now you're likely going to get older in a more comfortable way (meaning with less sickness) than that is what Si types will focus on. They will avoid unwise things because in the moment the are relaxing, if this means it's gonna be a problem long term in terms of decreasing the Si 'comfort'.
I think the second example however about the hedonistic ISFJ video example seems less accurateto me, as it shows people being spun in every direction in that device, which is anything but comfortable to the inner sensing world. It's rather disrupting, whether you actually like that disruption or not because you could find other enjoyments out of like excitement. In that sense such ride would seem like an an Se thrillride that seeks to explore the extremes of physical sensation because Se is easily bored by the 'normal' balanced Si experience. Se likes extremes like jumping out of an airplane and such things as simple example whereas the comfort the ISFJ seeks imore like the first example. All the 'boring' stuff like sitting in the perfect temperature, at the perfect moment, eatinng a perfect dinner that both healthy and tasting well, in the sun would be more an Si scenario, if it meant also that it didnt come with big Si comfort after it like having burned face from sitting in the sun for far too long.

Hello Aimee. I am glad that you are making videos again. That was a really good breakdown of what introverted sensing really is. I would just like to add my thoughts and see if you agree or that these are just stereotypes. What I have noticed with the ISTJ at least how they come across is that they are very very practical, and appear to be risk averse. They also have a physical presence of them almost like a slow and steady tank. Even though introverted sensing is the dominant function, they appear very outwardly as thinking types specifically practical thinking types. They come across also as conservative, but not necessarily politically. But conservative in that they make good practical financial decisions and they appear to be basically conservative and how risk averse they are. They appear to be the classic “dad” personality.

My father is ISTJ... I am an INTP...
And we very often do not understand each other (at least it seems so to me) and argue in a raised voice.

But he is a very stable and responsible person and I appreciate that about him.
And he (probably) appreciates the way I approach problem solving.

i like that you give examples cuz in typology, a statement can mean many things, good job!

The part where you mentioned how ISTJs are always thinking with their bodies first, it struck a major chord with me because I constantly do this in my daily life. Now i know i am an ISTJ, or at least an Si dom.

Well. SAID.
You nailed the description P.E.R.F.E.C.T.L.Y.
I'm happy about that, really. I feel like ISTJs get the cold shoulder because they're seen as stuck up rule following ocd religious robots.
Your description caters more for who the ISTJ is as an individual and what simply matters to that individual.

Aimee, I have the impression that lately you have more so given your own impressions of functions and a somewhat more individiualistic aproach to describing things out of types, meaning incorporating more your own personal views rather than stuckng to describtions of systems like let's say a socionics, possibly because you know more about them now than before or maybe just because you liked it? Or maybe you just the other thing before more, so to keep it fresh you've moved a bit? I may all be wwrong here, but I just get the impression I see more of that...Have a good day!

It's funny that you flag Grande as an ISTJ. He typed himself mistakenly as an INTP, which is totally not who he is. I'm glad that someone else saw him as an ISTJ.

Very odd yet deep take on ISTJ personality🤌🏻. One thing I as an ISTJ have learned about myself throughout my life is that it’s freakin funny how many people guessed my choices in life or expected me to act in a certain way and they were all slapped in the face when they witnessed something other than their assumptions. It’s like staying true to whatever I see fit for my strength of character at the expense of common “joys” we all experience. Not implying it’s a good thing though, just the way I’m wired 🤷🏻‍♂️
