Perfect append tutorial! And I learned some extra tips during the video that will help speed up some of the things we do in Microsoft Access such as the formatting of column headers does not need to be precisely the same. When I initially searched for information on using the append function in queries, much of the advice said don't use it. Which I am unsure as to why people were advising against it. The function works great and I was able to add catalogs together that contain similar information but from different analyses, which is what I needed to do!

Hello, thank you for your video. I followed your instructions but got an error that reads "An INSERT INTO query cannot contain a multi-valued field." I understand that to mean that I cannot append fields that contain multiple values even though the table I am appending it to has the same exact field. Can you help me?

Hi, I am trying to append values from a specific column in my source table (table is "2021 hourly data" for precipitation), to the destination table (contains hourly data for a bunch of other weather data, hourly from 2012-2021). The destination table has an empty column (same name as in the source table), and I would like the append function to append data from source ("2021") to destination (2012-2021), but specifically to identify the correct rows with the year, month, day, and hour that matches the source data (e.g. paste in the empty column for rows 78904-87662 (Jan 1, 2021 to Dec. 31, 2021).

When I try to do this by using the Append query, it just copies the precipitation values at the bottom of the destination table. How can I make the append query understand that I would like it to match the precipitation value up to the row containing the same year, month, day, and hour as it came from in the source table?
