Recently I've been leaning forward when doing the seated leg curl while keeping my back straight.
Stretches my hams like crazy at the end of each rep, highly recommend.

Since I finally moved to a new gym with decent ham curl machines, my hams have become one kf my best bodyparts, I enjoy training them immensely and have seen tremendous growth in them. Switching from a lying leg curl to a seated version when one gets stale seems like the perfect idea. And don't know hos much hinging adds to the ham muscles but they definitely help for the back so you can't go wrong with it.

One of the least complicated muscle groups and probably my fave to train at the moment, including the ham curls.

I noticed your legs are quite bent... Would you not get a bigger stretch with straight(er) legs? Great content, keep it coming!

Any suggestions for hamstring isolation for home gym?

What would you do for at home alternatives for curling? Nordics or Swiss ball curl? Thank you!

0:09 In the seated leg curl your knees are too far forward meaning that the fulcrum of the exercise is significantly beyond the pivot point of the machine, this will reduce the amount of force the hamstrings can generate. Is there a reason for you doing it this way or is it because you are too tall for this to be adjusted accordingly?

great content! but wouldnt you say that the lowerback/upperbody becomes the limiting factor with goodmorning?

there are 2 types of seated leg curl machines, one where the pad is in the thigh, and the other where it's below the knee.
the latter one is so uncomfortable to use, it's the only one in my gym. it feels like my knee is getting chopped off

It seems to me my hamstrings grow a lot more from GHRs than leg curls. My hamstrings got a lot stronger fairly fast when I started programming them as an assistance exercise and I feel like it also has better deadlift carryover.

Any recommendations for a powerlifter looking to get bigger hamstrings without putting much extra weight on the spine (I feel like conventional pulls, low bar squats and secondary lifts give me enough work on my lower back). I assume multi-joint movements are better for the deadlift. GHR, maybe?

The best compound would be the hyperextensions at 45 in my opinion

Which direction to face when you have an angled smith machine? Thanks!

Don't GHRs crap on all leg curl because it hits the entire hamstring through both hip and knee extension? I haven't programmed leg curls for over a year and the few times I have done them because my regular gym was closed I was a lot stronger on them because of doing GHRs.

Is the good morning lengthening the hamstrings more than rdls?

What’s the best lengthened partial exercise for growing glutes?

Is it better or worse to keep the back rounded during seated leg curls if your goal is to target the hammies? I noticed for myself and my gf that when we lean forward (to create more stretch) in the most lengthened position our lower back starts rounding. If we lean less forward and try to avoid this we aren’t able to use the same amount of weight.

My gym has an angled smith machine. Which way would you recommend facing in this circumstance?

You can't bend below parallel on a good morning. RDLs allow you to get a bigger stretch if you do them with a deficit.
