People don't seem to understand that the Apostles who wrote the gospels were horrifically tortured and executed for not renouncing their faith and witnessing of Jesus's resurrection. They got nothing good out of standing their ground. They were slaughtered. That is what true faith is. Dying on that hill in your faith no matter what people thing or say or do. And they all died on that hill and kept faith with God.

Compared to Abu bakr of islam who married his 6 year old to Mohamed to get an empire, The disciples losing everything and still believing in Christs divinity and death on the cross, Resurrection from death and believing under torture, Till death speaks volumes. They got the kingdom of heaven, Thats worth more than any empire in Arabia.
