Not only did they not invent the story about Christ's death and resurrection, Paul actually goes into complete detail in his gospel about how he was whipped, tortured and imprisoned for proclaiming the death and resurrection of Christ. This was a learned scholarly man. And he was not the only one - Peter and Steven and others were also martyred for proclaiming Christ's death and resurrection. Do you think that all these people consented to being martyred for a fairy tale?
