Why Would The Disciples MAKE UP Christianity? Many non-believers make this assertion as if it benefitted the Disciples (or anyone for that matter) to be a Christian. Claiming Jesus as your savior back then (especially in the Greco-Roman Empire) proved to be fatal more often than not. It in no way improved your life, quite the contrary. So the question remains… Why would Christianity be made up for benefit, if it only brought adversity?

The Carholic church sold those things. Disciples of Messiah in the first few centuries suffed horrible deaths even at the hands of the catholic system. Which was Roman to begin with.

The point, i believe, was supposed to be about how people pushing Jesus now tend to come from very well off or even wealthy churches. Why does the Mormon church only allow members who pay a full tithing in the Temple of the Lord? Does anyone actually think not being able to pay should keep you from God's house? One of the many reasons I'm ex-Mormon.

The disciples of jesus died Knowing that jesus is the way the truth an the life. So before you decide to judge, try to look at these disciples and how they died in how they live when they were with jesus, and you decide for yourself.

I'm sorry to say the Disciples didn't make up the term Christianity because that word can't be found in the books of the Bible, they were disciples or Apostles. Don't add or take away from the scripture but keep it in the context and the fullness thereof.

I know they have a great band, with Elvis and John Lennon and all the others, but the church never sold tickets into heaven. You should learn about what the church really believes, and maybe someday you'll stop being so ignorant. 😅
