Life after school can feel exciting yet overwhelming at the same time. It's a new chapter in life where you have to navigate through the uncertainties and challenges that come with adulthood. There's a sense of freedom and independence, but also the pressure to figure out your career path and make important life decisions.

It can feel like a mix of excitement and anxiety as you start a new job, move to a new city, or pursue further education. You may miss the structure and routine of school life, but also enjoy the flexibility and opportunities that come with being out in the real world.

There's a sense of liberation in being able to make your own choices and follow your passions, but also the weight of responsibility and the need to establish yourself in the competitive job market.

Overall, life after school can feel like a rollercoaster of emotions, but it's also a time of growth, learning, and self-discovery. It's a chance to explore your interests, build meaningful relationships, and create the life you want for yourself.

Yes Yes YES to the point about gap years!!! I went to college straight after high school and it was a miserable experience because at that moment in time I just wasn't ready to go back to school especially because for the most part high school was a miserable experience. I ended up dropping out after one semester and transferred to another school the next fall semester and I really wish I took a gap year to work and save money. School won't go anywhere so take your time!

My biggest advice for the people who are in college: it’s what you make out of it. I went to a local college, not #1 in my class but not using AI to get by either. You can’t expect to go in and leave with a degree and make the monies by skimming through.
I actively learned, asked questions, did assignments etc… and because of that I felt like I was able to present myself more confidently to my employers and able to land a really good job.

My advice to teens: find a skill/competency

Learn an instrument, a trade, a skill, something you can monetize. Literally anything

Learn a language, get good at a sport, become a great cook, find something

As a hermit student who doesn’t like college and wants to be a full time YouTuber this is pretty relatable

I honestly feel you here, I'm in 9th grade as of commenting this, there will be no edits for the next grade. It's actually nice to do something new for once. I don't really know what to do after, but I have several ideas.

I have fond memories of my days in school, elementary school, middle school, high school, and college. But, this may surprise you, I don't want to go back, I don't want to relive those days. But I do like to remember those days. The past had great things. But so does the present. Being 27 years old, a job I love (plus another in the summer that's basically a hobby I get paid for), owning my own home, awesome friends to hang out with, an amazing boyfriend. I feel grateful that I'm living out what could be called "future good old days". I'm not saying my life is all sunshine and rainbows. I have things that stress me out, I experience annoying things that everyone does. You can't escape things like income taxes, paying bills, cleaning your house, that's just life. But you can make them suck less. A little music can make cleaning the house almost fun. And I've really learned to love to cook. It's like art except you can eat it.

I got into medicine when I was in 8th grade. I planned to go to a university when I was in high school, but I earned my associate's in arts before transferring to a university. I earned a bachelor's in health science to prepare me for working in medicine in health care. I thought about going back to school, but changed my mind so I can work full time. I thought about working in radiology, the pharmacy, and histology. I got turned away from the radiology program at the same college where I earned my associate's in arts. I never got scheduled after accepting a job offer at CVS as a pharmacy technician. I worked at a hospital as a lab assistant in the histology department, but their director insisted I resign after working there for a week, convincing me I wasn't cut out for that job. I am currently working at a supermarket with full-time status while making YouTube a side hustle.

College/roommate life hack. Install those LED light strips on the bottom of the walls and then you can turn them on at night on low so everyone can see but it won't bother the other person if you need to use the bathroom or if you're just up late doing random stuff.
