School feels like a 9-5 job that you don't get paid for 😭

this is the first study tips video I've ever seen that talks about prioritizing and accepting that sometimes you won't do every reading or one homwoerk assignment might slip through. It's so easy to tell myself that I'm failing or not keeping up with everything and I think we can all use reminders that we can't do everything all of the time.

So the things that i learn
1. Have an end study time or an assignment schedule
2. Tips for taking notes from ur textbook using pdf element
3. Cut your study time by 20 %
4. Write down task that you need to do and the ones that you can do if you have the time, then do the task that you need to do the most ( you dont need to do everything : like reading a material before class or doing another homework while youre going to having an exam of another subject )
5. Dont take a nap take a sleep. Sleep for 2 hours then study after for 5 hours.
6. Dont just study while sit down, study while stand up if you can.

Thank you faye, i love your video soo much. ❤❤It has helped me through rough 6 am - 4pm of school hours

She just read my mind! I feel exhausted after sitting for 5 hours at school so when I get home I'm always sleepy and sluggish. I'll apply all of these tips to my after school routine, you helped me a lot!

Edit: In Brazil we normally have a school day of approximately 7 hours, but we have activities outside class(at least in my school) that don't require be sitting inside a classroom all day. That's why I said that I'm often exhausted after sitting for 5 hours at school.

Hey bestie! This is perfect timing! I’ve noticed that being “motivated” to study is not something I can continuously depend on to get work done. I need to learn how to be productive even when I’m tired so Thanks for this! 💜 also your uni looks beautiful!!

Yes, I ALWAYS feel exhausted after school, sometimes even after one class. I think it's because it takes me so much mental energy to go to class and actually pay attention, so after class, I have this feeling of accomplishment and that I should reward myself for 'surviving' it. Needless to say, Uni is not about surviving classes and then you're done for the day, there's more after, that you're supposed to do on your own.

BESTIEEE my jaw dropped hearing these tips because for so many years I felt a little guilty doing these and avoiding the "traditional" study advice aka toxic study tube. Making sacrifices and priorities is KEY to living a sustainable life and being at peace with yourself. Thanks for reminding me that and showing amazing techniques that work!!! ✨🌈❤️

I usually have low energy after 7 hours of school, so I take a nap for an hour and a half. And then I start studying again. This helped me and motivated me to study more instead of distracting myself. I feel less guilty now 😊

I totally agree with you. Going to sleep after school/college/uni really helps a lot. Waking up at 7pm to study and do homework till 12 am is legit effective. I started doing that in my senior year of high school. I forgot how important and effective it is since I started college. I'm trying to do the same thing now in my second semester, but the other way around. I work from 1 - 5 pm at school.

When I come home, I sleep from 6 - 9 pm. Then, study and do homework from 9 pm to 1 am. Considering how it is Ramadan for all Muslims, like me, I really try prioritizing and completing one or two assignments during the day. I'm also a perfectionist like you, so I don't complete more than 3 or 2 assignments in a day.

I had a Chemistry exam on Monday 4/4/22. I was not prepared fully and had to study by doing homework for that class that was due at 11:59 pm on 4/3/22. I woke up at 4:45 am for sehri and reviewed my notes as well. I reviewed them again from 8 to 8:20 am. Finally, took the exam and scored an 82. It's not the best, considering how I had an 88 on my first exam. However, it's okay because I was able to do good with the amount of time I had haha. Hopefully, for the next exam, I will get an A.

Again, thank you so much for making these videos, Faye. I appreciate all your effort, honesty, dedication, and support you give us. In return, we use the tips you advise us on, and it works wonders.

Also, standing up while doing homework or studying is NO JOKE <33

Anyway, I should get going and start my reading assignment that's due 4/7/22 and review my lab instructions for tomorrow haha

This might be one of the best study to videos I’ve ever seen in my life. You actually taught me a couple of things not only feeling, but I feel like I’m already ready to use them. That’s not always the case.

oh my god i avoid seeing videos about how to be productive because usually the problem lies on the level of execution rather than which strategy was chosen. it's far too easy to feel productive researching tips and strategies for studying instead of just sitting down to do the work, but i have to say, making the switch in approach- setting an end time instead of a start time is ABSOLUTELY GENIUS!!!!

I'm so envious about your self-discipline! I used to be easily working on this routine back in school, but I'm currently taking online classes due to my city going through a lockdown, and I still don't know when can I get back to school or even if there's a chance for me to go to school offline in this semester. Your videos really gave me lots of motivations, I appreciate it very much!

set end time, go to library if u want to do something, sleep if tired, standing when u feel sleep, do note by do it at computer, shorten the study time so that can left sometime for rest, cut down some to do list by delete something that no matter in front of the thing u urgent to do

nap for 10-15 min is insanely refreshing for me
also there is research to prove that 90 min is the ideal amount of time to focus and study hard materials

For me, studying 7-12 is much harder than studying 7-8:30 taking a 15 min nap and then studying again till you feel like sleeping again.

Remember that what works for others may not work for you and decide what works for yourself
