Reversing Plaque Build-Up is Possible

PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING (edit 4/19/19):
This video is written to provide proof that atherosclerosis is reversible. I do not go into detail of what his patient did to reverse his atherosclerosis because this is an individualized approach for every patient that I encounter. No matter what you see on social media, reversing atherosclerosis is not as simple as any one thing (ie Vitamin K2). In order to reverse atherosclerosis, you have to heal your entire body: nutrition, de-stress, heal the gut, detoxify, remove heavy metals, etc.

Due to resounding feedback on this video, I created a follow-up video where I discuss more about how to reverse atherosclerosis and how this patient reversed his atherosclerosis:
--
One of my patients is reversing his plaque build-up with nutrition, lifestyle modification, and supplements.

He is tracking this progress on the CIMT (Carotid Intima Media Thickness) test which involves using an ultrasound to detect the microscopic wall of the carotid artery.

Learn more in the video.

I have been watch a lot of videos on health these days. Your video stood out because you absolutely did not try to sell me anything.

Since you didn’t say what the man did to achieve this, you simply wasted my time.

For people who feel there is no information in the video. The comments are more informative, especially people with heart problems, please Dave William's comment. Thanks to all the people in the comments section.

Pretty unfortunate that you spent 8 minutes talking and didn't mention a single food or foods that this subject consumed In the course of his transformation.

So what did this particular do? Kind of pointless video to show his results without a single word about what he did.

The whole reason we clicked this video and isn’t answered is, how exactly?

I year ago I went to the doctor and my blood test was as follow - Triglycerides was 157, Cholesterol 276, HDL- 50, LDL, 195 and RISK Ratio 3.89. The doctor did put me on Rosuvastatin Calcium 20 mg which I took for one month than went off of it.

So I cut my Carbs to under 100 grams a day and I fast every day 18 hour a day (from 6:00 PM to noon the following day I do not eat) Six months later I have lost 14 pounds body weight and my blood work was as follow- Triglycerides was 94, Cholesterol 154, HDL-59, LDL- 76- and RISK Ratio- 1.29

Next month I will go back for another Blood work- Since the first blood test almost a year ago, I have lost a total of 24 pounds and been maintaining 100 gram of carbs a day and fasting 18 hour per day.

Thanks for this good info. I'm 43, and have been very inactive for past 10 years or so. I'm wanting to change with diet+exercise, and hopefully reverse any plaque buildup.

It's good to see actual examples of this happening, and know it is possible, but not providing details or references on his actual approach detracts from the value of this video.

would have actually been helpful to know what the patient changed to begin recovering

You never said what your patient did to accomplish this.

Dear Dr. Philip Oubre. I wish to thank you for the very neutral, interesting and helpful information. I for one appreciated the objective sharing of information, without a big pitch or over promising of miracles. As for me, I have taken the information in and will absorb it internally as I try to better educate myself. Thank you so much for taking the the time to carefully explain and share the information in an understandable way. I really hope that you got much more encouraging feedback than negative, and that you wont let bad spirited individuals hinder your goodwill, and please do continue on your noble path of trying to help people!!

It would be very interesting what this man does to improve his scores. We all know that this does not mean that if would fit for all of us, but it would help to speak with our doctors about our supplements etc.!!!

You said in the beginning that you would show us HOW he did it. You Didn't.

Would be nice if you have talked about what the patient did. What lifestyle changes ? often we are told exercise and diet. What exercises and what diet? Low fat, low carb, low sugar? And what health supplements?

Thank you Dr Oubre. You give this retired RN some hope. Strong family history of heart disease. I grew up watching many family members die..sometimes suddenly. So I've always been mindful with diet and nutrition. These last few years (I'm 69) my cholesterol has gone up....and I can't take statins..(severe muscle pain) I'm getting a heart scan in a few weeks...A little nervous..but I'm glad I found you. I started intermittent fasting and recently keto...lost 15 lbs so far....I will explore your videos to see if you have comments about low carb diets...thx!

Reverse is possible! At least is what I have been thinking and doing for my hubby that had a CAC high score, no sugar no carbs meats, fats, fasting, vitamins D3, K2, C, omega 3 high dosage, niacin, magnesium, selenium, coq10, exercise and prayers!

I’ve had Carotid artery ultrasound. One yr it was just my left artery, showing signs of intimacy thickness, then a couple of years later the right. I was simply told that 50% blackage for my age was normal...I was in my 50s. I just asked for another now that I’m in my 60s, but my cardiologist refused...time for a new Dr.

It's not "just crap". I developed Angina (when I walked fast) and wanted to avoid stents and by-passes. I learned about vitamin K2-7 and D3, to remove calcium from the arteries and eating garlic every day to remove the plaque. It works. The angina is gone.
