appreciate these vids all the same. as you may now i am working on a video game for a friend(im redoing mario bros but reorginaizing the levels and making it shorter, lso redoing all of the graphics. so basically just using mario bros as a game engine. this helps as i want to give him a physical copy of the game when i finish it.

This music must be from either Suikoden or Vandal Hearts 1 or 2... I've never played Tales of destiny but I've heard this music a million times!

The solder sucker looks really nice, I've used others before but without this plastic tip and it does not work so well.

Can the solder sucker be used on a power led removal for the gba?

I have the Engineer tool and it's great, but the silicone tube replacements are VERY EXPENSIVE!

I've found in my experience there is no substitute for an actual desoldering gun. I recently got the S-993A as an entry level tool to see what all the hubbub was about, and instantly it made my desoldering tasks go by in seconds instead of minutes. If you plan on quality of life console modding, a proper desoldering gun is a must-have investment. That's not to say it's the only thing you should have. You still need braid for situations where the gun nozzle won't fit or isn't ideal. I recently did a mod where I removed an RF box from a Genesis, and that required the gun for the pins, but the soldered tabs required flush-cutters and braid. The combination cleanly removed the RF box in all of two minutes.

I didn't know there were desoldering pumps with heating tips. I'll have to remember that in case I ever need it.
