I Had a VERY CONFUSING Conversation With a Jehovah's Witness...

The conversation that I had with a Jehovah's Witness (JW) man was incredibly confusing.
It's always interesting talking to the Jehovah's Witnesses, but they are so conditioned by The Watch Tower society. Hopefully they will come to know the true Jesus of the Bible.

Thank you for sharing: I’m a former JW now a born again Christian believer. I talk to JW and record the conversations. You are right, they don’t grasp what you are saying because they are in spiritual darkness. But Jesus sets them free ❤️

Well done!
I’m sure you gave him something to think about.
It may take many such seeds of truth to get them thinking.
Don’t give up!
I was a Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 30!years and I bead a die hard witness. I left the Org in 2022 and became a Christian.
I now expose the Watchtower on my own YouTube channel.
I’m glad I found your channel . I enjoyed your video.❤

I felt sad for that man. The thought that came to me was that confusion comes from the enemy not God. I pray God would open his eyes and enlighten him.

Was one for many years, you cannot be saved unless you're a Jehovah's Witness. They won't say that to your face, but in the heart of all diehard members that is it. The free gift of Christ comes with lifetime interest from this group, and people give up their entire lives and dreams chasing the watchtower carrot.

I'm really enjoying your videos, very practical messages and your presentation is like we're having a chat with you. I'm still working on watching your older videos. Thanks for allowing us to spend time with you.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I hope that man thought about what you said and the Bible verses you showed him, and that he talked about it with his wife too. My heart just breaks for JW's. 😢

i was a JW for over 20 years..basically according to their teaching, there are 3 groups of people..the righteous (who know the will of God and do it); the unrighteous ( who do not know the will or God so do not do it) and the wicked (who know the will of God but refuse or just don't do it). In John 5:28, 29 where it says there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous, means the righteous of course are resurrected (to a ressurection of life) and the unrighteous are resurrected so that they will have an opportunity to learn the will of God and do it so they may become righteous.. the wicked are not worthy of a resurrection because they have already received their judgement.. not sure if that clears up any confusion but this is their official teaching.. at least when i was in..i have been out for 8 yrs now.. thankfully..

JWs have such skewed beliefs. I love that you approached them and if you do visit his hall, please keep us posted. I know you are not shy to have straightforward conversations...
I have been on the receiving end of the pamphlets and oi vey, it is confusing indeed

When I have the opportunity to speak with people from the Kingdom Hall, I ask if they are born again. When they say No, because only 144000 are born again, I refer them to John 3, where Jesus says that unless a person is born again, they can not understand or enter the Kingdom of God. In other words, unless they are born again, they have no place in the Kingdom (and a Kingdom Hall for such people makes no sense). My aim is that these people would believe Jesus rather than the tract society that produces the material they read.

My family is Italian, they had a few JW weekly visitors, one of them was an elderly yougoslavian named uncle joe, he always came to spead the word etc... even in minus -35deg C weather. My mom and dad always invited him in, my dad would say tell us something good but dont take out any books and leaflets. My dad would go to the cellar and bring up 2 bottles of wine. One they drank at the table and the other was for uncle Joe to take home. The man was always thankful and even ate dinner with us. He was never pushy or rude and never overstepped my dad s rules. He passed away and my folks felt bad they didnt know about his funeral. His replacement(s) are not the same. My folks were great people and always respected everyone.

I heard Ray Comfort use the exact same analogy (ie “I’ve just been stabbed in the back. I have just 3 minutes to live…”) The concept of Grace is very difficult for humans to grasp before we are Christian. “I did way more than you, so I deserve more than you.” is a common feeling. It really takes the Holy Spirit to make us realize than none of us can meet God’s Standard. However, his Grace is truly remarkable. I pray you have planted a seed in that Jehovah’s Witness despite the confusion. God bless you!

Thankyou Matt, this was very interesting and informative. I found it very helpful, I never know what to say to them, but this was brilliant. Sad that so many are being deceived by them .

I was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness in the 80s. Trust me, everything about it is nonsensical.

I have years of experience with them and I know exactly what you need to ask them and what resources to use. I also have plenty of resources with me that I regularly use to share with them and I also know what their theology teaches. They are difficult but not impossible to reach.

Bless you for being able to do this. I don't think I could personally "have a conversation" with a Jehovah's witness. That kind of stuff is NOT my calling. LOL

I do not want to know the amount of souls that are going to be lost because of this kind of teaching. These people have no respect for God and His Word.

Wow what a great question . I’m sure he understood your question . The fact that he couldn’t answer it left him puzzled . He’ll think about it I’m sure . … They are so used to patting themselves on the back on Sundays where they essentially believe they are the only ones who will be saved and the rest of the world will be destroyed that when confronted with a reality check question they are dumbfounded.

The reason you're confused and he's confused is because witnesses don't use the same terminology for a theological beliefs. Witnesses are very smart when it comes to their own theology but in terms of the larger umbrella of Christianity they really don't know theological terms in the way they're meant to be used.
