Ireland isn't part of great Britain but is part of the British isles....just to confuse the situation further.

The EU is an organisation of countries not a continent

Saying the EU is Europe is like saying the UN is the World.

I don’t how people get confused over this Just because we’re not in the EU anymore doesn’t mean we’ve left the continent ffs 😂

The terms ‘Europe’ and the ‘EU’ are not the same. Europe is the name of the continent, it is purely geographical. The EU (European Union) is the name of the political union of various European countries. A country may be located in Europe but not necessarily part of the EU.

Ok quick break down

UK- England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (+British isles)
Great Britain- England, Scotland and Wales
Europe- continent where the uk is located
EU- organisation designed to make trade easier across countries (not immigration) (not Europe)

The uk is a country made up of countries.
Europe is the continent

The EU is a trading organisation

Yes, but the Isle of Man is also circled in the ‘UK’ section, and it is not part of the UK. It is a crown dependency of the UK ( another example would be the Channel Islands) however places like Gibraltar or Cayman Islands are overseas territories, and there are other things like Akrotiri and Dhekelia or the Antarctic territory which are not any of the things I mentioned which I won’t even get into lol

Edit: just realised 2 parts of Scotland aren’t circled either! Shetland islands and St Kilda. Sorry to be picky lol

“And to make things more confusing, the United Kingdom is a part of the continent of Europe!”

It's like how people think Mexico, Central America, Cuba and the Caribbean isn't part of North America, but it is, they're just not included because they don't speak English.

But once you live in it and grow up to learn the ways, it is simple

This is like saying it’s confusing that Canada isn’t part of the USA

Ireland is part of EU "travel visa" as in we don't need a visa to travel to any other EU nations. We can work and live anywhere in Europe.

However, we can also travel to England/Great Britian and live and work there without visas. We can also claim social welfare there.

Same for British people. They can work and live here no problem. No visa is required. It's called the Common Travel Area (CTA)

Also your loop includes the Isle of Man which is it's own self-governing British Crown Dependency.

But it is not part of the UK or European Union.

The way to think of it is like US States, they have their own governments within the Country's government
