Be Still My Soul - William Joseph & Zack Clark

The Finlandia hymn, "Be Still, My Soul" refers to a serene hymn-like section of the patriotic symphonic poem Finlandia, written by the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. It was later re-worked by the composer into a stand-alone piece.

We had this at our wedding 44 years ago. Now I'm planning my husband's funeral - putting thoughts together for his eulogy. This music is such a quiet blessing as I think about his life on earth, and where he now walks with his Saviour.

This hymn became so meaningful to me on November 13, 1993. God gave me a precious moment in time to sing Be Still My Soul, to my dying mother. She was only 73. This was so unexpected. But, it was God's perfect plan for her life. And, what a gift from God she was! Thank you for playing this hymn so beautifully...

My goodness talk about reach your soul. I could definitely sense the Holy Spirit the thing that got me was reading the comments of so many of y’all that are going through so much loss in grief and pain. It literally made me cry. There’s so many hurting people just when you think you’re going through something all you gotta do is read these commentsand I pray that God gives you so much grace and strength and peace and joy in those seasons, and yes, our promise is we’ll see our loved ones again, but that doesn’t diminish what we have to go through on earth. I’m thankful for music like this that brings healing and hope.
