The tune is 'Finlandia', taken from the main theme of Jean Sibelius' 1900 tone poem, Finlandia.

Yeah! Finally all the lyrics, including the all important name of Jesus, to whom every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess, that Jesus Christ is Lord!

Very beautiful and thank you so much for sharing this hymn. It reminds me of Psalm 46. God is our refuge and strength, a very help in trouble🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I have an addiction to alcohol. I'm scared to take up my cross. I'm scared to die to self. I'm scared of the waiting period between denial and rescue. I don't understand how to take His yolk upon myself, what an 'easy and light' yolk and burden looks like. scared this is mine to endure alone, and I don't have there wherewithal, the desire or capacity to lay it down. I'm afraid of the emptiness and how long before I am filled by Him. This hymn speaks to me.
I am conflicted about my responsibility and His in this issue.

Oi Suomi, katso, Sinun päiväs koittaa,
Yön uhka karkoitettu on jo pois,
Ja aamun kiuru kirkkaudessa soittaa
Kuin itse taivahan kansi sois.
Yön vallat aamun valkeus jo voittaa,
Sun päiväs koittaa, oi synnyinmaa.

Oi nouse, Suomi, nosta korkealle
Pääs seppelöimä suurten muistojen,
Oi nouse, Suomi, näytit maailmalle
Sä että karkoitit orjuuden
Ja ettet taipunut sä sorron alle,
On aamus alkanut, synnyinmaa.

Be still, my soul; the Lord is on thy side;
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain.
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul; thy best, thy heav'nly Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

Be still, my soul; thy God doth undertake
To guide the future as He has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul; the waves and winds still know
His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below.

Be still, my soul; when dearest friends depart,
And all is darkened in the vale of tears,
Then shalt thou better know His love, His heart,
Who comes to soothe thy sorrow and thy fears.
Be still, my soul; thy Jesus can repay
From His own fullness all He takes away.

Be still, my soul; the hour is hast'ning on
When we shall be forever with the Lord,
When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone,
Sorrow forgot, love's purest joys restored.
Be still, my soul; when change and tears are past,
All safe and blessèd we shall meet at last.

❤ Beautiful. The only version better than this is the acapella version by Eclipse 6. This is such a soothing message of faith and hope. Love it.

I like the lyrics, but the audio quality sounds bad. Amen. Praise the Lord that I know him. Now, we need to tell others. Our Lord Jesus died for the sins of humans, not angels. I know miracles do happen because I have seen an actual man walking on water. Eternal life depends on obeying the Lord Jesus, who is the pure Word of God. I and other pure Christians shall spend eternity in the new earth, not heaven.
