One thing that has really helped me is lowering my standards of things that have triggered me easily, and only one day I. The last 2 months did I even get close to being angry and that was just because lots of noise was happening that day.

I feel the moving on especially. Combined with actively having learned to repress feelings like rage, as soon as I think of another topic I'm back to being calm and rational. And then I get annoyed when the other person won't be reasonable 😂

This is why one of my EXs doesn't tlak to me anymore, they were upset I moved on quickly and they hadn't, i always move on quickly, it's not that the feelings weren't really my brain just figured "well if they aren't wanting to be with me why should I worry abt them still"

I personally think that the intense emotions are a result of the increased pressure of how we live our lives in and of itself. Every failure & every success hits us harder, because it takes so much more effort to do everything.

Life is never easygoing, we can't take it easy; we must fight hard, and in order to survive that relentless beating we feel we must not take the good moments for granted.

I've a husband who takes all this in his stride, asking me once, when I appeared 'peeved' (but wasn't taking it out on anyone, just on my own doing a task), 'is it something I did'. I said, 'oh sorry no, I'm just annoyed at something''. He just said 'phew. okay then'.... and off he went smiling.... lol

This guy only focused on the "civilian side" of people.

He understands rage conceptually.

I always find myself apologizing for my anger outbursts, bc I’m really loud. But once I get it out, I feel like laughing bc the pressure was released and I know I sound ridiculous. Then, snap, I’m out of it.

Also make sure to check for Borderline Personality Disorder. These are also symptoms of both. However, ADHD medicine isn't going to help with BPD. Just thought I'd put that out there.

I could send this to my girlfriend so she isn't so confused but of no interest to her. She thinks it's all bs.

People without ADHD have very slow building, somewhat dulled emotions. They don't feel things as deeply and they hold on to negative feelings for longer.

Sorry, I'm just so sick of everything about us being framed to us as an abnormality held up to the Golden Standard of the other type of brain. Like... people without ADHD walk, talk, think, and react slower than people with ADHD. There are more of them than us, so the disability is on this side. But, like yall are slow af.

What a load of bollocks, people with ADHD don't feel their emotions any more strongly than anyone else they just have impulse/anger control problems, the management of which can be taught, DBT is good for that.
