It sounds like the division of the law in the moral, civic and ceremonial

Ceremonial laws and moral law are different. We follow the moral law but under Jesus new commandments of love.

Btw I may poke holes in the apologetics but the video quality is really impressive! Good work in production.

Guess the people making this video forgot about Matthew 5:17. 🤷‍♀️ That throws a wrench into this idea that we don’t have to follow the Law of God. Oopsie daisy...
Friends, follow the Law of God! It is PERFECT. (According to Ps 119)!! For our good and for His glory.
Not boiling a goat in its mother’s milk is an act of compassion. Physical command for a spiritual understanding!

If what you say is true and God's fourth Commandment to keep his Seventh-Day Sabbath was only a temporary commandment given to the children of Israel then doesn't that mean that God was lacking foreknowledge when he said in Exodus 31:16-17 that His command to keep the Sabbath would be a never-ending Perpetual Covenant to be kept throughout all generations Forever Until the End of Time?

Also aren't the Christians today considered part of Israel according to Romans 11 which teaches that the Gentile Christians have been grafted into Israel?

Aren't you taking what Jesus said in Matthew 22:34-40 out of context? Jesus didn't make up two new laws He was summarizing all the law from the Old Testament into two of what it would be impossible to follow while breaking a single law from the Old Testament because as he said "All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments” (Matthew 22:34-40).

DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT SUPPORT BOILING GOATS BUT I DO SUPPORT THE SABBATH-click for more :)
7 REASONS THE SABBATH IS STILL BINDING
1.(The two days are differentiated): In the New testament, the seventh day of the week is called the Sabbath; it is mentioned more than 50 times. The first day of the week is mentioned around 8 times and is simply called the first day of the week, and is always differentiated from the Sabbath. This in itself is evidence for the continued validity of the seventh day Sabbath.
2.(The Sabbath was not only for the Jews); Jesus states in Mark 2:27-28, "and he said unto them, the sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath:Therefore, the Son of man is Lord of the Sabbath."
3.(Jesus said he wouldn't change laws): Matthew 5:17-18." Think not that I am come to destroy the laws, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. for verily I say unto you, Till Heaven and earth pass, one jot or tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. "
4.(Mark 12:28-31 does not cancel out the Sabbath): It says to "Love the Lord your God...Love thy neighbor". (Well how do we love the Lord???) Jesus says in John 14:15, "if ye love me, keep my commandments." the Bible also states in 1 John 5:3, "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments and his commandments are not previous."
5.(Jesus Kept the Sabbath): In John 15:10 Jesus states: If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I HAVE KEPT my Father's commandments, and abide in his love."
6.(HIs apostles Kept the Sabbath):Paul kept the sabbath many years after Jesus had died. Acts 13:14, "but when they parted from Perga, they came to Antioch In Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and sat down. " Acts 17:2, "And Paul, AS HIS MANNER WAS, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures. "
7. (Grace does not void sin): If that were the case, we would be able to sin freely without worry of hell. Let's not take Paul's words out of context. He states in Romans 6:14, " For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace". HOWEVER, in the next verse he says, "what then? Shall we sin, because we are not under he law, but under grace? God forbid." (And what is sin??) 1 John 3:4 " sin is the transgression of the law" PERIOD ;) not just 9, if it were so, he would've stated it.

Praying you receive these scriptures with an open heart and mind
Matthew 5:19- God Bless

*The Bible does NOT teach that the weekly "Seventh-day Sabbath" is the only commandment out of the Decalogue that God has made void. The Bible says to keep them ALL as a sign that we love Him. (John 14:15)
*Of all the commandments to forget, why choose the very one that starts with the word "REMEMBER"? (Exodous 20:8-11) God is not the author of confusion. (1 Corinthians 14:33)
*The Sabbath was not created only for the Jews to observe but for ALL mankind according to the Word of God. (Mark 2:27) For Jesus Himself made it clear that He was indeed "LORD of the Sabbath". (Mark 2:28). If Jesus is Lord of it, we shouldn't disregard it.
*Before any Jew existed, The Sabbath was one of two HOLY Institutions (Marriage is the other one) established in Eden and observed by Adam and Eve (Genesis 2:2-4, 20:25) If marriage is still accepted and binding today, why wouldn't the Seventh-day Sabbath be? After all, the Sabbath is about Worshiping the Creator of Heaven and Earth.
*If the Sabbath were not as important as the other 9 commAndments then God would not have included it in the very midst of them. (Exodus 20: 8-11)
*It is sin to take away from Gods Word and to lead others to do so....its a crime before the courts of Heaven and punishable with the second death. (Revelation 22:19)
*The Ten Commandments are Gods Moral Law for ALL humanity and though written by His finger on tablets of stone in Ancient times they are now written in our hearts that we may observe them all.(Hebrews 10:16)
*Paul NEVER taught that God's grace voids God law because it doesn't....Paul forbids that type of thinking....(Romans 6:1, 15)
*The very definition of sin is to transgress the Law of God and that Law is His literal Ten Commandments. No one would know what sin is without knowledge of the Ten Commandments. (1John 3:4, Romans 3:20)
*Jesus was referring to the Ten CommAndments when he summed up "The Law" into those 2 parts which speaks of loving God and our neighbor. The 1st four REVEALS our love and LOYALTY for the TRUE God of Heaven while the last 6 REVEALS our love for our fellow man. On those two hang ALL "The Law" and the prophets and the Sabbath is still apart of it. (Exodous 20:1-17)
It was the Creator who spoke those CommAndments to the children of Israel in the Old Testament (Exodus 20:1) and, it was the same Creator who again summed up those commandments when He spoke to them in the New Testament. (Matthew 22:40)
*The Bible says in Psalms 19:7-8, 10
"The law of the Lord is PERFECT, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is SURE, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are RIGHT, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is PURE, enlightening the eyes.
MORE to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: SWEETER also than honey and the honeycomb." Surely David included the Sabbath while expressing so eloquently the beauty and sheer goodness of Gods Law.
*The Bible identifies Gods True Saints as Commandment Keepers.-Revelation 14:12

*A much clearer understanding and breakdown in regards to the difference between the Mosaic Laws and God's Ten Commandments is needed here. The Bible leaves no room for error. Prayerfully consider researching the scriptures I've left in response to your findings. May the truth be revealed where there is error. God bless.🙏

Oh it's always so cute to see the mental gymnastics apologists use to wiggle out of Bible passages like this.

The old testament laws doesn't apply to Christians, only the laws that are also in the new testament. I view the vast, vast majority of the OT to basically be parables. Genisus for example was simply the way the people of the time could try and understand the world they found themselves in. Just my opinion, in my part of the world, Christians are not expected to believe the whole OT as literal but some do. God bless ❤✝️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

God was following old world norms. Why? Why must the creator of the universe cater to humans? He’s the ultimate power and has shown himself to exist and do horrible things in the Old Testament. Why not show his power to some rulers, burn some people alive to scare said rulers into enforcing proper moral laws that stand up to modern standards? Our societies are still trying to improve on morality by fighting for more social equity and fighting against rich people who enable themselves to own so much yet contribute so little. This still seems like mental gymnastics to me... maybe the book was just written by people who didn’t know how the world worked and were influenced by the standards of their own culture rather than a god working within culture (because a ultimate god limiting himself doesn’t really make sense).
