I did time restricted eating for a few years. My first ever uric acid test was near the beginning of that time and it was a high reading about 7 something. Consistently over those years my UA stayed high and nearly always between 6 and 8.2, never below 6. I was asymptomatic, but I wasn't happy with that level.

I tried UA lowering supplements with zero effect. Never tried a drug. Then I found that keto and 'fasting' was associated with high UA; the liver processes ketones in preference to UA. For most people that is apparently a temporary thing maybe lasting 6 weeks, but for me it persisted. I get into ketosis really easily with high levels, which is not necessarily what I want; I'm aiming for lower ketosis.

Normally for midday lunch (the first time I was eating) I had 3 eggs with beef. Yes, I know beef might raise UA, but bear with me. I moved the 3 eggs from lunch to around 8am and I am still 14-15 hours fasted at that time. My UA now mostly stays well under 6 for the whole day, including my first test in the morning before 8am, as long as I ate earlier ('breakfast') the previous day. In other respects I am eating exactly the same; all I did was change the time I ate the eggs.

Hello Dr. Ford I have been following your channel for quite a time now. I need some advice regarding my blood clotting issue. My platelets are always in the high range of uppish 300's and my MPV is also mostly above 10. Please suggest me a good medicine or therapy to get both down at the same time. As I haven't found anything which addresses both of them at the same time.

I want to see a trial on Prolonged fasting as therapy for faster reversal of metabolic diseases.

0:50 Whoa! At first I thought that was YOU piling sugary jelly on white bread toast, with a big glass of orange diabetes and some nice berries waiting! But then I realized that was some old guy in a public access clip. Phew! But that is a 'breakfast' to avoid completely! Thanks!

Not so fast w Low Carb VS High Fat :
high fat diet as a driving factor in increasing both FRAILTY and remnant cholesterol (via chylomicrons), but the question still remains as to what exactly is going on as a consequence of increased dietary cholesterol that might lead to the signs of FRAILTY, including loss of muscle mass and strength, impaired immunity, and so forth.

Medical opinions change every few years. Now they're saying that as you age, retaining muscle mass is incredibly important. Having regular meals with protein increases protein synthesis, while fasting makes you catabolic. So they say
Food for thought

I wonder if skipping breakfast is that bad once you are used to it

When I started Fasting i noticed my B/ P was never high ysually around 111/67 or even as 107/72 which i think is better for me considering i have high blood preassure.. which I really don't understand I live in Bakersfield California and I've had a number of cardiologist out here who do not know what they're doing I have my newest one who buy had every test Under the Sun to find out if I had any type of issues with arteries and stuff like that and he tried taking me off blood pressure medication and then I see him again three months later and then he wants to switch up my blood pressure medication which I really don't know what to even think anymore with these doctors that we have nowadays is New Generation I feel like they're just in it for the money and not finding ways to help people get better and prevent illnesses and diseases instead they're doing it to pocket more money and really not doing researcher researching stuff I've been in the medical field for 21 years I worked in hospitals in ICU unit PR departments and I hear and see stuff and I figured that maybe fasting was a better option for me in regards to high blood pressure and watching what I eat and juicing a lot as well
