I really love this video. I commented along time ago in one of your videos and told you I wasn’t vegan but I your videos are motivating and positive. Well I made the transition in August and am now Vegan. Thank you for the helpful advice. I am one of those people that’s try’s to hard to focus on protein. I won’t be focusing on that anymore.

Okay so this and the alcohol video have completely changed my "I can't do this" mentality. Thank you for making a step in this video "not sitting" because I honestly didn't know how bad it was. Super helpful thank you!!!

Glad you listed mindset. So many people want to make progress but don’t put in the work. The human body is capable of much more activity and training than we think

Spot on Derek. So often people are lost when a trainer, nutritionist or ?? starts talking and 'you' put it into easier to understand words that also makes it motivating. Thank you for all your great content.

You're hands down the best. Great content and always touching on specific points that are often left out of other common fitness videos.

I forgot I subscribed and seeing the thumbnail in my feed I went like *meh, another omnivorous fitness video, I sure am gonna learn a few things but it'll be based on a nasty lifestyle full of cruelty yadayada*
I hit play and man... your videos are just so refreshing...! We can feel by watching that you feel great in your life and that in itself is such a motivation to me as a viewer to hustle at the gym being vegan, gains can seem harder at times (as we see we have to get a bit more technical about our diets) but once it's part of your routine it's easy (and pleasant) as hell and you can just go on enjoying life in good shape
Thanks for the video, I appreciate it

Man, honestly I’d be happy with your “before” photo physique! But I’m hanging in there! Thanks for the great videos!

I love how there's so many videos about this subject but you managed to show a different perspective, talking about so many important things! Great as always Derek (:

Thank Derek. I absolutely love how well rounded and accessible your videos are. It doesn’t matter the variables between all of our levels, your advice hits the same message for everyone. Get out there and move, incorporate consistent movement all the time, eat wholesome plant foods! (People laugh at me at work because I look for excuses to use the 2 levels of stairs we have, they don’t understand why I don’t use the elevator…then I think, Derek would get it 😊)

One of your best videos Derek. You did a wonderful job "being real" about nutrition and the mindset/activity required to achieve the athletic body most desired.

This was a much needed video. Today I was thinking about it. Something I will start doing is leaving my phone at home when I go to the gym because I do get distracted by it. Also need to make a workout plan since it will help me be more efficient. Thank you for the quality content.

Great stuff! I’m an endurance athlete and much of this stacks up for running too. Consistency, focus, diet etc. One difference is that it’s important to be mindful of stress load - when I’m running 75km a week, it’s OK to avoid the standing desk :D, but I agree wholeheartedly about not sitting on sofas etc “too” much - kneeling, squats etc on the ground are so much better for us! Thanks for this one!

I agree that the more we move the more energy we will have . And when I have days I sit more than walk or do something physically I feel worse 🙃 🌺

I'm educating myself right now because I can't start a new workout routine being 32 weeks pregnant and stay with swimming and walking the dog for now.
Your Videos are so easy to understand!

Hi from France ! Yes I agree, and I can testify about what you say at the end, for 3 months I couldn't workout because of an injury, I had to start from a lower level, very frustrating.. I couldn't be consistent enough for the first weeks and I was postponing a lot, BUT each workout, even some easy sets, made me feel so good. Anyway I knew I really wanted to be in shape again because I love training and I have set some targets.. And after a few months, the more I trained the more i felt good ! Now I am back on tracks ! And I feel way better, more energy, I don't postpone a workout and train 5 times per week ! 💪 the more you train the easiest it is to stick to it rather than start and struggle to be consistent, so you need guys to keep that in mind ^^
