I saw a tv program where the soldiers learn to ride from scratch in 6 months. It’s an amazing skill which is impossible without empathy and respect for the horse. And more than a little love.
Many are the tears shed by soldiers when their horse dies. A friend and a trusted and loyal companion.

That was amazing to watch those horses. And felt bad that the drunk guy had to make a scene. This is the first time I’ve noticed that the soldiers we are front and back plates.
