Dude put into words what I’ve been trying to convey my whole life. It seems society is fine with destroying themselves, everything that is horrible to consume is what many enjoy most.

Not only is it socially acceptable, it is almost socially UNacceptable to NOT drink. If you don’t drink, people will assume you are weird, a recovering alcoholic or pregnant. Maybe allergic. People don’t understand someone who just doesn’t want to drink. For no reason.

I think one of the worst parts of becoming sober is realizing that you’re “friends” don’t want the best for you and much rather have you at there level. Once you start fixing yourself every one will tell you how much of a better person you are or how funnier you used to be when you drank. Don’t listen to them listen to what the voice is telling you and make that you’re friend
