The idea of a risen Shagaru and a risen Kushala is both terrifying and awesome to me. The idea of a risen Crimson Glow Valstrax is mostly terrifying to me.

Even tho the game says it like malzeno, I think risen monster aren’t creating a symbiotic relationship with the qurios. I think it’s more like Gaismagorm eating the qurios essence, which is these elder dragons just consuming and overcoming the qurios and their venom. This is just my head cannon for how Rosen get thier new powers.

I think the last one of the risen monsters will be the Malzeno from the last time Gaismagorm appeared, just like scorned is the Magnamalo from the last rampage. A Malzeno who has truly consume the qurios and turned into something completely different

Risen Shagaru Magala is pretty much confirmed, in my humble opinion. And I absolutely hope that it brings Chaotic Gore Magala alongside it. The actual Quest Text of its M5 Quest mentions it being seen together with Qurio. If that isn't foreshadowing, I don't know what is.

The best thing about Risen Cham, is that for now he's the only Risen elder, which gives him the spotlight of the update for now. I still remember the base Rise first title update having him announced, which hyped him out quite a bit, but then he had to share the spotlight with the other elder, apexes and Bazel, and also ended being the first elder you fought from the 3, which quickly made him fall into obscurity. Is nice to have him as the current post-game final boss of sunbreak, at least for now. This is the hype he deserves and more.

Risen Chameleos was easily the best part of title update 2. Him and Flaming Espinas were genuinely difficult and I actually lost to them as opposed to everything else. Risen is an awesome fight and I can’t wait to see what’s next

I am certainly eager to see what they do to change up the fights for new Risen elders. Though some fill me with a bit of dread, Kushala for example is already infamous for the black wind, what happens when that effect gets bolstered by Qurio energy.

Excellent Pressure joke👌 I love Risen Chameleos, I was disappointed at first because he just felt like a mildly stronger Chameleos, but then he exploded and changed the whole environment and I got so hyped!

I really love Risen chameleos and I’m praying we see a risen shagaru at some point, the two things I’d change is giving them their own intro cutscene (because they are basically a new monster if they have a hunters note entry on them), and also making it so they drop a material that only works on further augmenting their weapon trees cus I was sad we didn’t get risen weapons

I honestly love the way risen elder dragons look

Chameleos looks like he's so enraged that he's reversing his invisibility just to try and intimidate hunters

Kushala looks like the energy inside his body is too much to handle, to the point where his metal skin is starting to melt

Teostra looks like a grizzled old lion, a once young king with a fiery main of red hair now ash grey, yet the fire within him burns brighter then ever

CG valstrax looks like hes been flying far faster then he ever should have, and his wings are becoming burned from the wond speed and dragon element

Finally, Shagaru magala, I honestly love his risen form, in alchemy gold represents purity, but Platinum represents perfection and godhood, gore is a demon, chaotic is a fallen angel, shagaru is an arch Angel, and risen shagaru completes the holy evolution, a true god and master of the frenzy virus

Risen Chameleos feels like a brand new monster. I've hunted base Chameleos to near extinction and the risen version has new looks, new attacks, and new behavior. You can tell the devs wanted this to feel very different from the Chameleos we've hunted before. What stands out most to me is how the atmosphere of the environment changes as the fight progresses. Previous elder dragons in Rise did not necessarily give off the energy that their presence has the ability to alter their environment, but we can really see that with Risen Chameleos. I'm wondering if this will apply to all the other Risen elders or if this was just a variation on Chameleos's fog (it seems like the environment gets much more obscured when he applies his fog, so the fog effect might be stacking on top of the environmental modifications for Risen elders).

Love the Risen but I'm terrified of what Teostra is going to be like.... it's already my least favorite monster in Sunbreak with how annoying it is to fight but giving it a Kaio-Ken Qurio boost is going to have my stomping in frustration....

I'm most excited for Risen Shagaru Magala. These Risen monsters are definitely the best end game content they've had and it's alongside the investigations which is fine enough. Sunbreak feels so complete right now.

Man, this title has been NUTS! I think as far as challenges, these few new additions of monsters have been getting me carted more than usual and I LOVE IT!

TU2 is good. Little grumpy about the grind to get my anomaly research level up for new quiros weapon crafting materials, but at least it was something to work towards and really wasn’t too bad

Malzeno and Shagaru's armor sets are both rarity 9 which hints that they probably had further evolutions in mind for the elder dragons from the get go. If chameleos giving us a 1 slot chameleos blessing deco is anything to go by, they're probably going to give us decos for all of the elder dragon exclusive blessings including bloodrite and bloodlust.
