The Greenwood support is absolutely shocking to me. People saying “he’s still with her”, “he made a mistake”, “he was young”. You don’t rape someone as a mistake. Romano has millions of followers and is the spokesperson for this nonsense. Insanely nasty work.

The biggest giveaway for me was his coverage on Andrey Santos last year. He would be tweeting in October, November that “Andrey Santos still not in Nottingham Forest squad, still has ZERO minutes since joining from Chelsea” stuff like that. It was just so obvious he was being paid by either Chelsea or Santos’ agent to make a fuss about it to put pressure on forest. No reason for a transfer journalist to be reporting on a 19 year old loanee at Nottingham forest. So absurd

As an American who follows MLS, I've seen a number of times when Romano has reported on a MLS rumor it has followed eerily similar reporting to a journalist in a America with no credit so it wouldn't surprise me if he did that for most leagues.
