I got pregnant three months back and started feeling extremely tired, and fatigued. I currently live in Saudi Arabia so, no wonder I wasnt getting the sun. I had been a hard core exerciser before my wedding yet i experienced a lot of muscle aches and tiredness during those 3 months of my pregnancy. A few weeks back, I miscarried. After the miscarriage, I started feeling extreme back ache. it is very depressing as the traditional women from my home country say that the bone pains after child birth or miscarriage never go away for life if they are left untreated by using post partum healing stuff like "panjeeri" and bone broth, avoiding cold temperatures etc. I didn't take any of these measures and I am having these bone pains. My gynaecologist didn't even consider a test or supplementation for vitamin d and i had to ask her twice after which she told me to go to a orthopedic doctor. I had a level of 13 ng/mol. The doctor prescribed me some painkillers and calcium and 1000 IU Vit D3. I havent seen improvement after a week and I feel this is too low a dosage for me. I am really depressed and feel I may not recover from this bone/back pain ever. I strongly feel my miscarriage was due to this deficiency but the doctors tell that 90% miscarriages happen due to chromosomal defects in the fetus. I hope researchers do studies on the link between vitamin d deficiency and miscarriage since both are very common in women. I am desperate for an answer

I regularly test my patients for Vit D deficiency and find more than 40 % deficient in Vitamin D. I supplement personally(with D3 and K2) and still have problems getting enough. Basically if you live north of Arizona you probably have to supplement.

you need k2 when you take vitamin D teach yourself learn. vitamin D carries the calcium through the blood vitamin K2 puts the calcium where it needs to go if you don't take the key to the calcium deposits in the arteries.

Hi there. As of yesterday I found out I had vitamin d deficiency. The main symptoms I have had are tiredness and constant hunger, even after eating my stomach feels completely empty. Is the hunger a common symptom and will it improve whilst my vitamin d is replenished?
