I went for 1 1/2 years to doctors (yes, I said Doctors with an “s”) NEVER checking my Vitamin D level and I was finally told it’s Rheumatoid Arthritis. I said, WHAT? How did you come to that conclusion? I felt I did not receive any real answer as to why this conclusion, felt like it was a guess.
I was told I needed to get on Methotrexate. I said, HOLD UP! After 1.5 yrs you all of a sudden come to this conclusion? I feel that you’re guessing. I need to do some research, maybe get a second opinion. The doc then said, YOU need to take this serious. I replied, I AM!!! Doctor then said, if you don’t start treating this, you will be in a wheelchair within 10 years. OMG, you have got to be kidding me who says that to someone? I replied, I went this long (1 1/2 yrs and six doctors) we can wait another month or so until I get second opinion and do my own research.
I didn’t take the methotrexate…., I researched called my general practitioner, at the appointment I asked, did anybody ever check my Vitamin D level? Because thinking back I am seeing a pattern of my aches and pains, stiffness, etc. it starts around Nov and by January/February/March I am at my worse and then April/May feeling a little better and then the summer months, I think maybe it’s all in my head and I am nuts.
I then told the Doc I believe I am at my BEST in the summer because of the sun.
He checked my Vitamin D level, guess what, it was LOW, REAL LOW and that was in the beginning of June.
I got myself on Vitamin D3 and never looked back, get levels checked just to make sure I am taking enough or not too much. I am healed!
One last thing, it was 10 years ago this month I was told if you don’t take methotrexate you will be in a wheelchair in 10 years…, FYI, I am not even close to that happening, LOL. My Birthday is next week, 61 years young!
Thank you Doctor Berry for your informative channel!

It's a terrible shame over 95% of MD's don't know this and if you say ANYTHING about any type of pain you could get labeled as a pill shopper.

Undetectable Vitamin D and critically low magnesium just about killed me a few years ago. Without these two no muscle in the body works including your brain and your heart. I supliment both

I couldn’t walk because I had bone pain and muscle aches so bad. I thought I had a disease. But I remembered I stopped taking my vitamin D 3 for 4 months because of an antibiotic the dr put me on. 1 month in today and no more pain and my energy is thru the roof. Amazing 😊

Isn't it amazing that adolescent's have many of these symptoms once they start middle school and recess is eliminated, they play less outside after school opting for internet time, then comes all the cavities in the teeth etc...

I spend tons of time in the sun. I am NOT vit D deficient at age 70. I do catch a lot of comments from people about how I'm going to get skin cancer, the sun is not good for you, you are going to regret being in the sun so much and the list goes on. This comes from people, my age, who spend their day sitting in front of a TV 18 hours a day, can't ride a bike, can't snowboard black diamonds at age 70 and many who look like they will croak before the end of the day. The SUN is my energy source! You are 100% right, I am never sick and I run circles around people half my age!

I have a vitamin D, on 231 !. And in my country Denmark, a normal level, is considered to be, between 50-160 !.
My own personal view on D vitamin D is….take all you need, as long as you dont feel worse by taking it !

My husband was having terrible confusion and memory problems at age 65. We took him to a neurologist and he did a simple blood test and found out his Vitamin D # was only 6. We immediately put him on a large dose of D3. Long story short, within a period of six months he began to get his memory back and the confusion was less. He has since returned to normal and he is doing well. If you don't get out in the sun much, take the supplement.

I live in the high desert of Texas. I’m 53. I take vitamin D3 and I make myself lay half naked on a lounge chair everyday for a minimum of 10 minutes. In addition to watering my garden and greenhouse. Getting sun and a significant amount of vitamin D has changed my life. Plus carnivore diet.
