Gratitude journaling:
-Do it in the morning. Have it right next to your bed so that will literally be the first thing you do. Before you even get out of bed have the journal done. You will begin associating waking up with gratefulness.
-Do it on paper.
-Write down things that you are grateful for.
-It will improve your mindset.
-You will get to the point where you see the good in everything and will learn to appreciate life's hardships.

Deep Journaling:
-Do it on paper
-A thought that has been plaguing you for a while. It stays with you throughout the day. You must deal with it.
-Sit down and write about it until you feel at peace. This may take 10 pages, but it will be well worth it.
-Preferably have a routine before it such as Hamza setting up his tea and the same playlist.
-You will unburden your mind and be less anxious throughout the day.

"Do not write for the reader, write for the writer" this stuff is brilliant brother. at times when i journal, if i get nasty things that i need to get down from my head, I'll try to write it down in a pleasant way so when someone reads it or if i read it again in future, i should not judge myself. but you had addressed it in this video clearly. also, that earphone analogy was on point. I am grateful I found you and your channel. Cheers brother.

This just made me realize why I don’t journal, the one time I did it express how I feel my aunt and mom found it and made me feel horrible for having negative thoughts about them. Since I’ve always tried to push down the negative emotion and to others I always came off emotionless

I am grateful for this video. I have honestly been procrastinating both journaling and meditation for a couple of months now. Enough is Enough! From tomorrow my morning routine will go as follows:
4:45 - 5:00 - Awake, freshen up, fill up water bottle.
5:00 - 5:25 - Journaling. 5 minutes gratitude journaling. 10 minutes writing down any thoughts that come in. 10 minutes writing down about something that I have been thinking about. Whilst writing this down, I'll be listening to a relaxing playlist, that allows me to get that deep flow.
5:25 - 5:40 - Meditation, observing my thoughts, using headspace to guide me.
5:45 - 6:00 - 15 minute run
6:00 - 6:15 - Cold shower
6:15 - 6:30 - Planning my day
6:30 - 10:30 - 4 hour deep work (50 min work, 10 min break)
10:30 onwards I will be doing other productive stuff, but above those actions WILL BE MANDATORY for me, it needs to become a habit.
I can't wait to get started with this!

This stuff really works, guys. Every day for the past 2 weeks, I've written 3 things I'm grateful for at some point during my morning routine. It's okay if you can't think of anything- sometimes I say things as simple as a pen or a water bottle. Subconsciously, it's made me more appreciative of life, especially the little things. Stay on the grind, we're all gonna make it!

I took your advise and just finished my first deep journaling session. Man I didn't know I had that many things to write about. It started as a mental health check in, but it turned into full on journaling. I lost track of time, but I just wrote about 9 1/2 pages on my 1 subject notebook. My mind feels clearer and after listing all the things that make me worry. I also detailed things I can do to decrease that worry/stress. I wouldn't say that I have just dominated and gotten over all of my worries. What I can say is, that I definitely feel much better and my mind is clearer now that I acknowledge all the things that have going on in my mind. I plan to do this every night before I fall asleep. Just dump all of my thoughts, but also go to sleep remembering all the things I am grateful for. Thanks for the advice!

He starts of by saying paper is better, also for gratitude journaling, which is logical ofcourse

He explains how to write a gratitude journal, write down what you’re grateful for.

Deep journaling: have a consistent setup, think deeper about some deep topics that you don’t take the time for during the day. You write the thoughts down, in that way you “save” the thought. It’s basically talking to yourself, talking about thoughts you’re having, you’re having a conversation with yourself and that way you can learn from yourself.

Don’t write for the reader, write for the writer. It’s not for your future self. It’s for spilling your brain's thoughts on paper. It’s not meant to be read. It’s okay if someone reads it but that’s not its function. You have to ‘feel’ your fingers when journaling.

To be honest, this is the video I needed, now I know how to journal, or should I say, Deep journal. I am glad that I finally know how to really do this, cause I’ve been jut describing my days since november. That’s a diary, not a deep journal. Very helpful video.

Very grateful to god that I found this youtube channel,
Very grateful that hamza started his own self improvement journey,
Very grateful that hamza motivated me to realize what I've trying to do all these years in disguise was various forms of self improvement and is not bad to go onto it and not selfish,
Very grateful that whenever I think "No this shit can't be true" when he says it in his recent videos true, I mostly see examples of it all around me happening in real life, and it like send me into a spiral about very minute things, but yeah, I'm learning. Growing.

Man I’ve been journaling for month now and I see improvements, me and my mom would get into arguments and she would yell I wrote it down in my journal and saw what I can do about and small adjustments that can improve it, after a bit of realizing what I had to do which was to be quiet in the mornings and analyze when I should not argue, then the arguments and yelling went mostly away, there’s other things that improved but that’s been the biggest one, I will continue journaling. For the bottom of my heart thank you hamza.

3:22 is very relatable. Im only a new subscriber, so I haven't applied most of Hamza's teachings yet but I do ocaasionally think deep within myself and ponder about my life. I am extremely grateful for the bad things that have happened to me. They are the reason for who I am. I am not at all close to achieving my goals but I am proud of who I am. And I am who I am only because of the cumulative life experiences that I've had (bad and good experiences).
