I keep a journal and have been keeping it for the last 42 years. If someone wants to see real change in themselves this is an absolute necessity. It helps to the self on track between your aim and realisation of the aim. I really need to get in touch with you Dr. Sid .

It’s funny how older things come back in fashion. I used to write letters to God, everyday and share my feelings, emotions as a best friend. I never knew that I was in a habit of writing journals in a way and that developed a strong relationship with God. 🙏🏽 But life got in the way and I stopped all of that. Picked up a few times when I realized but was never consistent with it. So now I can make time for a 5 minute journal expressing gratitude to God, what things I need to do in a day that would make it a great day and a few daily affirmations. 🙏🏽 Happy April 🌸🌱

🎯Part 1: Why should you journal?
• R1: To find clarity of thoughts.
• R2: To document things of your life. (The more you forget, The less you learn.)
• R3: To remember your past. To see how your older version looks.

🎯Part 2: How to journal?
1. Structured: Where you use a framework to journal, you answer some set of questions.
2. Unstructured: There are 3C's of doing it.
• L1: Collect: Writing/Noting down the topics/subjects anything that you want to write in your journal about.
• L2: Consolidate: Where you more elaborate on those collected topics, you write your complete thing in your journalling.
• L3: Connect: Read your previous entries of journal, where you can find PATTERNS in yourself (Self Awareness and Self Reflection)

I've been journaling since 2020 pandemic. The first time it became useful was when mom asked me about an event and then I checked my journal to tell her the exact date. I was impressed with the advantages of having a journal.

Hello, Dr. Sid. I'm a big admirer of your work. I've been journaling for the past 5 years. My favorite part of the week is sitting down and flipping through my journals from previous years. I love to see what problems I was facing, how I was feeling on the same day, and how far I've come. It helps me identify patterns and gain an outsider's perspective on my own experiences.

I have struggled with journalling for quite sometime now. A very convincing video on journalling. I have been journalling since many years and it is an unstructured one.. A part of journalling goes in gratitude realised all through out the day, Aha moments etc. Then a part goes as set of affirmations or intentions that foster my chosen current goal like sticking on to a diet or a simple daily routine etc. This helps to remember my targets and bring back my attention back to these items without getting lashed out in social pressure. Timestamp: 0.34. Regular journaling didnt help much but i found a lot of comfort in journaling via blogs. When i sit down to write on a topic that has had an impact on me, it allows me to channel all my thoughts into a structured story telling format and somehow it worked for me. It allows me to express abt that topic almost fully. Regular journaling used to get too random and scattered. So, I’m keen to see the rest of the episode to see if what you suggest is very different from what im doing!

I started journalling last month ...I journaled for like 15 days then stopped for 20 days then again journaled for 2 days and stopped all together and haven't touched the book since ...my main issue is consistentcy in anything or everything 😕 I listen to so many advices but do not implement just procrastinate
