Don't make journaling a chore, you will get tired of it easily. You can be creative with your journal too like making collages, making a playlist or movie list, or even tickets and receipts like a scrapbook. Don't feel pressured, just do anything you want in your journal. You can also use quotes or bible verses to start your entries. Just do whatever you want because a journal is something where you can really express yourself without any judgement

I don’t journal everyday, but I do it when I start thinking too much. It helps me to clear my mind and process my emotions. The voice was therapeutic❤

I've kept a journal since high school, I'm 43 now. I have an entire backpack full of old journals!

I usually do the stream of consciousness and gratitude journaling, but once a year I write letters to myself. Once to my past self and one to my future self. It helps me highlight what challenges I overcame in the past year and think through how I will navigate the coming year. It's fun to red the previous year's letters

My diary is entirely written in verses. It's filled to the brim with rhymes and stuff. It's been about two years now and I've improved in poetry a lot that way

I never realized how cathartic writing in a journal about stuff on your mind or involving your day was.

I don't journal but I do write, something I've been doing since I was a child; I started as a means to deal with emotions surrounding my home life. Even in fictional settings I was able to use it as a means to steady myself. Writing, whatever the means, is a very cathartic experience.

As an older person, I do self reflective journaling. I like the dream journaling thing, I might try it 😊. Thank you for sharing this. God Bless You and stay safe 🙏 ❤️

journaling was one of the main reasons why I was able to juggle my mental health, especially during the pandemic. it's sooo effective if you're overthinking, anxious, and overwhelmed by everything. even now, I still journal and it really helps me get through with my emotions and anxiety

Remember, the most important aspect of journaling is consistency. Make it a habit, and you'll start to see the positive impact it can have on your life.

I started journaling in 2003 when I lost my daughter my only child. I think the type of journaling I can relate to in this video is probably the one about the future. When I lost my daughter she was just 24 years old and a very dear friend of mine gave me a journal a beautiful journal and suggested that I use it to try to cope. She had started to journal when her granddaughter died and she said it was a big help. My way of journaling is a little bit different than what most people think of when they think of journaling. I wrote letters to my daughter. In the beginning of course in those letters I would just tell her how much I missed her and what I missed about her and I wrote every single day for months and gradually I wrote her maybe once a week and eventually once a month. Doing it this way allowed me to monitor my healing. I am a firm believer that this is not all there is to that death is nothing more than a temporary Interruption of life. So much of what I wrote in the journal I expected my daughter would be able to read those letters one day when we are reunited based on the Bible promise at John chapter 5 verses 28 and 29 "the hour is coming when all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". When my sister died in 2021, who was my best friend, I started another journal and did the very same thing writing letters to her. I just wrote her about normal everyday things that I would talk to her about if she were still alive and we could chat on the phone or text like we did every single day. I often talk about things that we will be able to do in the future once we are sort of pick up where we left off so to speak. I still miss my daughter and I'm still adjusting to life without my sister but the journaling has definitely helped me to keep a positive attitude and to continue to heal. I don't know if it would work for other people but it definitely has worked for me 💟

I’m involved in a lot of music events at my school, and I always future self journal the audition process everyday for a week or so before the actual audition. It always helps with my nerves and is just a great way to prep mentally. I also write down 3 daily gratitudes every morning before I start my day. Helps with motivation

I do bullet journaling, which allows me to become more organised during the day and keep me focused on the tasks I need to do. I include setups for daily wins (what was my little win today), things I’m thankful for, and goal tracking or life goals. So I sort of encompass a few of these styles all together! I’ve only done this properly for a year and a half, so still learning and finding my style but it’s coming together!

Welcome back dear Amanda. I missed your voice.
And since some months already I started journaling again after 12 years and it helped me to fight back a big depressive state. Without even knowing I was practicing all the techniques reported in this video.
I usually do journaling while listening to uplifting music, like the one by Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. They were a true positive Force of Nature, writing down my thoughts and feelings while listening to them is really a medication. When I feel bad and I share that suffering with myself, putting it on paper helps me to feel better. And when I'm good, putting my best thoughts on paper helps me feel empowered. If only I didn't waste so much time of my life talking to others instead of talking to myself, today I would have felt much better and more confident!

I do almost every type of journal but last one was new to me. Journaling has changed my life over past 2 years. And I'm really grateful for starting it that day.

The animation of this video is so cute and the narrator's voice is so warm and calming. Like a blanket keeping me warm in a storm.
