if you're still wondering, windows wont show your computers current clock, but instead the stock rate, it's still overclocked though, so don't worry.

I miss this screen because I have Windows 10 now. Same chips and everything.

Cool video!

I have the same CPU (except mine is the Core 2 Duo E6600) and I overclocked it (this way) from 2.4Ghz to 3.38Ghz! I only have 2 fans and it runs os x lion :D

O crap, check for color changes on the PCB (Printed Cercet Board) because sometimes it tuns brown or black if really damaged. Yea it's most comonly the heat so don't even think about overclocking it, that means it's going to run even harder=hotter. Don't let the heat go over 80° because that is the limmit at wich the soldering on your PCB still maintane a solid form, higher then 80 means it whill start melting. Put more fans in your PC, espesially directed to your GPU, if GPU are burnt=reaplace.

-the cpu and the radiato/pump combo on the exaust fan mount and thats it. If you need to put new thermall past on the cpu, take a fluid that contase 90% alcaholl to clean the old past of with a pease of toiletpaper, apply new paste with a peace of foil or plastic paper or something don't use regullar paper to evenley spread the past over the entire cpu but the past must not touch the other parts of the motherboard, only the top of the cpu ( thermall past does not come of easelly).-

Yup, it'll increase the temp for sure. Safest temp for e6420 is around 60.1C

You are most welcome friend, I'm glad to help. I also just have the stock CPU fan and a little 120mm side fan to blow at my GPU and it works well enough withought the rest of the fans but it would be even cooler for your'e parts with the rest. Are you still going to get allienware or are you going to stick with your present pc? You could buy a comlpete pc if your looking to upgrade meybe one with second hand core i5 CPU with GTX550ti GPU and 4GB RAM at a low price, battelfield on ultra can run.

Don't worry about the English. Apologize for the music. Not just that it's particularly bad music but that's it's also entirely inappropriate, I don't travel to a club to work on my computer and don't need the club to come to me.

Hmm i overclocked my 3.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo to 4.7GHz. Take into consideration that i have a water cooling system to reduce heat from 70C do to about 40C

Good good, just purchuase some fans, one at the big one at the front for sucking aire in across meybe if your HDD (Hard Disc Dive) is in the way thats good so that it whill be cooled also and the megoraty of your component. one at the side if possable to dirct air onto your GPU and one at the rae to suck out, that is the standerd but if your case can take fans at the top that'll be good to suck in. Feel with your hand at wich direction the fan blows and install it in that possition. Don't OC GPU

-befor you install the GPU because when the pc is of but the power cable thats in your PSU is still in, your pc still reseves power and when your boddy is charged with static electrisity when for exaple on a hot dry day you've rubbed your hands or just standing on a carpet (not just on hot dry days but particulerley on those) and you touch your parts it could short and destroy your parts when still getting ellectrisety so becarefull on that, I cannot stress that enough. If your whilling to pay-
