never in my life have I drank alcohol (muslim here), and people keep on telling me what i do to look so young. Same as you, I might die tomorrow hit by a truck, but so long as I can, I will carry on taking care of myself and feeling all the better for it

The jetlag also affects your body tremendously. Your liver is your body’s clock, and is greatly affected by disturbances of the circadian cycle. Alcohol intake compounds the problem. I was an airline pilot for almost 20 years. Since I quite flying & drinking, when the world went crazy in 2020, my health has improved significantly.

Alcohol is the worst for anything. It is medically classified as a depressant and its the best testosterone antagonist. Males suffering from alcoholism have quite high estrogen levels. It was recently discovered that alcohol promotes estrogen hormone even more pronounced than Soy based products.

Drugs are bad, and alcohol is probably amongst the very worse ones.

Congrats, I quit alcohol long time ago, my anxiety was getting worse, I was drinking only in social events. I'm trying to drink carbonate drinks just once a week and red meat only when its worth it

Well done, compadre. You put it so well - it is a lifestyle. Years ago I traveled the world for business, and was caught up in drinking for hours rather than sitting in the hotel (and caught up in all the risky social elements that come with it). I haven't had a beer, or, better yet, a hangover since 2019. For anyone thinking that the costs outweigh the benefits, just quit - you can always go back to the poison prison at any moment, so try it.

Did you have concerns of withdrawals or seizures while quitting? That's been a major concern about going cold turkey.

Health is the most important thing in life. More important than money; more important than a career; more important even than personal relationships.

In the meddle east, cancer is less than other parts of the world, maybe alcohol and pork is the reasons, maybe.
