Baptism is the act of being immersed in water. When we believe in the Lord Jesus, we should also be baptized. Mark 16:16 says, “He who believes and is baptized shall be saved.” This physical act, when accompanied by faith, has profound spiritual significance. It ends our old life and begins our new life in Christ.

Thanks for this video. It really shows the importance of baptism. Baptism is the outward affirmation of our inward salvation.

Hi, nice video! simple and clear.
it helps me to explain to my students what baptism and the importance of baptism based on Bible without mention any liturgy or any religious ritual or symbolic.
Simply if you believe Jesus and receive Him as savior, then you can be baptized.
Thank you so much!

first of all.. great video! the animations look very good.. thx 4 makin it

second of all.. I have a question, why do most people get baptized when they were babies? cuz It said that baptism means u sort of "promise" god that u believe in him right?.. so wouldn't it be proper to get baptized when u were older? when u are ready to live life for god n god only? thx in advance (:

hey can you please tell me if water immersion by some other person is necessary for baptism? because some say we are baptized by Holy Spirit and Jesus, not some other man so water baptism is not required to get baptized. some even believe you can pray and take a dip in water yourself to get baptized? what's your take on this? thank you for answering in advance.

I love all your videos and have learned so much by watching them… thank you 😊…I do have a question however: If were not baptized we’re not saved? I’m a little confused…if this is what is implied, what about the thief on the cross? Please help to clear this up for me … thank you🙏🏽

Water baptism and Spirit baptism are two parts of one baptism essential for salvation. Paul spoke of, " One Lord, one faith, and one baptism ( Eph. 4:5 )
He also spoke of the "..doctrine of baptisms" ( Heb.6:1, 2 ) water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is much more than just an outward sign of an inward change.
Repentance and water baptism are for the remission of sins ( Acts 2:38 ). Remission of sins is forgiveness as the result of the shed blood of Christ on an individual , spiritual level by the Holy Spirit circumcizing our conscience, removing the guilt from past sins, and restoring to it its original childlike sensitivity to sin.
This is the " washing of regeneration" ( Titus 3:5 ). To regenerate something means to return something to its original state. This is also being born of water that Jesus spoke of in John ch.3
The " renewing of the Holy Spirit, in the same verse is the Holy Spirit baptism. Repentance and water baptism must be followed by Spirit baptism to complete the born again process..
The Holy Spirit is not recieved the moment we believe but must by prayed for after repentance and water baptism.
The word "recieve", in the original Greek that the N.T. was written in, means " to take hold of". Once the Lord answers our fervent prayer to be filled with the Spirit we must then surrender the last vestige of our will, our tongue, until the Holy Spirit takes control of it. " tames" it, and enables us to speak in the spiritual language that our English translation calls " tongues".
Once this happens it triggers the fillings overflow, which is what Spirit baptism is, while at the same moment we recieve the Holy Spirit by Him becoming one with our spirit to forever remain within us.

In the beginning was the Word... and the Word was God. The word Logos from Greek to English has 3 meanings, WORD, REASON and PLAN.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

The Logos was then breathed into the earth and the Logos became flesh. Adam meaning Man. (son of man, is also translated as Human) God was with Adam, until sin got hold of Him and that separated them. But God with all His wisdom had a plan from the beginning for man’s salvation.
Since Cain killed Able and Adam also sinned, Seth was the carrier of the sinless blood line, all the way through to Bethlehem, The House of Bread for the Bread of Life, the Son of God, the Light of the world to be born.

When Jesus was 30 and met with John, He was baptised, which then allowed God in all His Glory to come down like a dove from heaven and fill the
empty sinless body of His only begotten Son, so that God could begin His ministry, Fully God and Fully man, to shed His own blood for the salvation of man.
Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Jesus was telling everyone who He was.... He even walked on water!! Job 9:8 Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.

So from the beginning.... God made a PLAN and wrote the WORD we call the Bible on His Heart before the foundations of the Earth, For one Salvation for the Fallen ones left behind.
It started with God.... Then the Word became flesh, Adam.... in the end, we will all be like gods... back to the beginning to how it was first created, that man will be in the image of God, with God dwelling with us once more.
Trinity is only for Jesus... For he is the Son of the Father and the same nature as God. (God is the Holy Spirit) Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD

GOD BLESS YOU ALL THROUGH THE LOVE OF HIS SON.

With so many opinions, what does the bible have to say about baptism?

2 timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

The bible has all the answers on baptism.

Also Gods word even anticipates every wrong idea about Gods word. The bible, his word, has all the answers.

Let's look a through some scriptures about baptism trying to rightly divide the word of truth.

Everything points to Jesus, his baptism is the like figure for us..

**Mark 1-9-10 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. 10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him..

Johns baptism of repentance jesus was Submerged in water rises up out of the water and the holy ghost comes upon him.

Baptism isnt a work, its doctrine..

**Hebrews 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgement.

So it's important.

There is only one baptism! Not many as some suppose..

Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, ONE baptism

Some people state that baptism doesnt save or play a part in our salvation again contrary to Gods own words, Baptism does save..

1 peter 3:20-21 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were *SAVED BY WATER*
21The LIKE FIGURE whereunto even baptism doth also now SAVE us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, ) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ!

And also in the days of moses

1corinthians 10:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ

They were saved by faith going into the sea and coming up out of the sea, this is likened to baptism.

**Roman's 6:3-7 Know ye not, that so many of us (that is all) as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

4Therefore we are *buried* with him by baptism into death: that *like as Christ was *raised up* from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5For **IF** we have been planted together in the *likeness of his death*, we shall be ALSO in the likeness of his resurrection:*

6Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

*7For he that is dead is freed from sin.*

**Collosians 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

So from above scriptures,

• Just as Jesus died we die to sin.
•Like Jesus was buried in the earth we are submerged in the water.
•Like Jesus rose from the dead we rise up out of the water.
So baptism is a picture of christ death and ressurection.

And so we will be resurrected like jesus!

*Acts 2:38-41 Then Peter said unto them, 1)Repent, and 2) be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ 3) *FOR* the remission of sins, and 4) ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, EVEN AS MANY AS THE LORD OUR GOD SHALL CALL.(that's everyone! Jew or greek) 40And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were ADDED unto them about three thousand souls.

We are baptised for the remission of our sins (past) then we walk in the newness of life. Is this not the same as being born again?

Are you called? Repent first and be baptized.

Then we walk in the newness of life being born of the spirit through the gift of holy ghost given to us.

Some teach believing is spiritual baptism if that's the case why are they mentioned in the next verse separately? That would also make two baptisms when we know from above there is only one!

**Mark 16:16 He that believeth AND is baptized SHALL be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

This verse is as clear, it doesnt condemn those for not being baptised but it's clear that it becomes a promise to those who do!
(Believe AND be baptized SHALL be saved)

Only those who do not believe are condemned. The thief was never baptised as he never had a chance but he believed and confessed in his last moments and the lord showed mercy, and the story of the thief on the cross shows us the lengths of his mercy.

WHEN should someone be baptized?

Again the bible has a plain answer. The question is plainly asked...

Acts 8:36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, *See, here is water;* WHAT DOTH HINDER ME TO BE BAPTIZED?

37And Philip said, IF thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both *INTO THE WATER* both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. 39And when they were *CONE UP OUT OF THE WATER, * the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

The only thing hindering anyone to be baptized is do you believe with all your heart that jesus christ is the son of God. So that rules out infant baptism. They neither believe anything nor do they need to repent.
(And also repentance comes first as it is written in acts 2:38)

Why did jesus say go unto ALL nations and teach and baptize, if it was only for Israel as some teach? Because it is for all!

Mathew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach ALL nations, (not just israel) baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

So that rules out that baptism is for a different dispensation.

In conclusion jesus baptism with all verses, our salvation starts with:

1)believe the gospel.
3)this should lead us to repentance
2)Accept christ as your personal Lord and saviour.
4) be baptised by immersion in water like all these verses speak, planted in likeness of his death and ressurection.
Die to sin and put on christ!
5) trust christ finished work it is finished, endure to the end and walk in the newness of life, dead to sin.

Baptism is important!

**Galatians 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

**27For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ...**

**28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.**

** 29And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.**

Clearly whether jew, greek, hebrew, israelite gentile, it doesnt matter, if your baptized into christ you have put on christ and heir according to the PROMISE.

This also destroys the argument that baptism is for a different dispensation, it is for all!

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. V41 the same day was added 3000 souls.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
