Amen! Baptism is very important because Jesus commanded it. I've been to churches where Baptism was the main focus of the message. They tell people that if the are baptized their sins will be forgiven, . Sadly they do not make it clear what godly sorrow and repentance look like.. By baptizing people before they understand repentance only gives them a false sense of security. A person must first hear the message of the cross and understand it. They must believe that Jesus died to take away their sins. If that message causes them to have godly sorrow then they will repent and turn from sin.. John the Baptist had very strong words for people who thought they could be saved without repenting. He called them a brood of vipers!

After reading the scriptures over and over again, I am quite confident that baptism is similar to a public statement/covenant that you enter with God. With baptism, you are proclaiming that you -- as a believer in Jesus -- are buried with Christ Jesus in death. That is, you are proclaiming in the sight of all that you now dead to this world and alive in Christ. It's also proclaiming that this world -- like the world during the flood -- is now dead to you and you are born again. This covenant act is similar to a vow.

John the Baptist offered a baptism where it was a covenant of repentance (i.e., turning away from sin). Christian baptism is different. It is a proclamation of turning to Christ -- dying to the world and rising in life with Christ. This is why the men of Ephesus who were previously baptized by John's baptism were subsequently baptized in the name of Jesus. Like all vows and covenants, baptism should never be done lightly. It must be done in truth -- a heartfelt commitment demonstrating belief in Jesus (a belief that allows you to die to this world and live in Christ).

Sadly, this understanding seems to be missing in some churches today. Some churches baptize babies, infants or very young children -- who usually aren't fully capable of understanding the importance of this sort of public vow.

Acts 22:16 baptism is being dipped under water, to have all your sins forgiven and to receive the Holy Spirit as the helper for a spiritual life with God and for God. It is the way to become 'in Christ', in which position a human can have access to a holy God, because Jesus' innocence and righteousness covers that person. Baptism is the birth into the new humanity. Satan has done his best to confuse people about what baptism is, because when someone believes in Jesus, repents and is baptized, satan has no power of accusation over that person anymore, like farao lost Israël when Israël went through the gulf of Akqaba. Then they were lead by Moses up to a paradise on earth. Me and my brothers and sisters in Christ are being lead by Jesus to heaven.

Jesus said myself i can do nothing literally nothing. Then you say Jesus is God.If so why cant God do anything on his be upon him) said he can do on his own nothing.

4.mathew 27:46
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is to say, “My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?”
