A female INTJ and male ESTJ have a conversation. One of them is probably a mistyped INTJ. Can they sort it out?

Both INTJs and ESTJs use Extraverted Thinking (Te) as their first extraverted function. Thus, they can have some similarities in their communication style. They also both use Introverted Feeling (Fi), and both have "J" as the last letter of their MBTI type. For these reasons, an ESTJ might mistype as in INTJ.

Yup. I had someone type me as an ISFJ once. If you actually look at the cognitive functions, I honestly don't think one could be further from the truth.

Speaking of which my friend who happens to be an ENFP told me that I am the perfect example of an INFJ even though with each test I get INTJ, and it's not the 16 personality one.

Every one should know a simple truth - if you want to know your type, you have to spend a lot of time for research, read studies about it, dig in for any useful informations, not just look a little on yt/tik tok and quora/reddit for "deeper knowledge".

It might be more accurate to say that a real INTJ furiously criticizes him/herself to see any reason why he/she wouldn’t be an INTJ. But then again, that could just be me ;)

INTJ here, ESTJs, as I know, are very smart at handling real-life situations but are really stupid at planning or understanding things.

The best way to understand the types not by studying functions, because we all have the 4 functions, but by comparing.
For example, XNXJ and XSXJ both mostly have cleaning habit or organizing. But, when XSXJ for example entered XNXJ room they will feel that the room is dirty with dust and bad smell, while XNXJ will not sence these small details, and will call XSXJ over reactor.
So, they are both sensors, but S-types sense much more than N types.

ESTJs might embarrass an INTJ in a social meeting but then ESTJs lose when the think they already won the game based only on that social experiment.. we INTJs plan ahead and while ESTJs think they are winning they will find themselves in deep trouble if they fall for an INTJ.
