My biggest problem with lat pulldowns is I don't have the grip strength. I can lat pull the bar just fine but I can only do it ~15 times before I cant even hold onto the bar

You want your forearm in line with thr bar path and i think your arms are little flaring, if you tuck in your elbows in would feel it more on your lats
