‘Anything can happen’: New NATO member Sweden prepares for possible war with Russia

With Russia’s invasion of Ukraine sparking concern for their own defense among many Nordic countries, some are turning to the NATO military alliance for support, with Sweden and Finland becoming the latest countries to join. Meanwhile, Sweden is remilitarising Gotland, its island located in the heart of Baltic sea and some 300km from the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, and warning its citizens to be prepared for a possible war. Our reporters Julien Sauvaget and Clovis Casali travelled to Sweden to see how growing tensions with Russia are affecting both the army and the people.

Well we are not preparing for war but we are mustering our army in defence. We also spend 2.% gdp now and will go up too 3% gdp. But saying we are preparing for war is wrong we are just bolstering are defences and buffing up our army/navy/airforce.

Most people don´t get that the Ukranian War is about Resources ( Oil and Gas ) and has nothing to do with territorial claims, russia is big enough they really do not need any more land...
