You make it look like Norway only joined after 9/11. Norway is a founding member and has been in the alliance since 1949...

Finland in need can have a million soldiers. Not the best, but somehow trained. We are not going anywhere. But we can make coming here difficult indeed.

If we never invented nuclear weapons. Russia would be "just another 3rd world country". Like it or not. It's true.

The biggest impact on the Ukraine war has been the failure to supply sufficient weapons and insist on limitations on where and how these weapons can be used. Idiotic.

Finnish and Swedish people had no intention of joining NATO before the war as the Nordic Defence Cooperation was already strong enough, but as soon as the war started that changed.
a) Mostly we wanted to join NATO just to piss Putin off, oh you didn't want NATO to expand, well maybe shouldn't have attacked another neutral country that wasn't in it.
b) To strengthen both our and NATO's northern defense capabilities in case Putin makes more miscalculations about Russia's military might.

I do have to give them credit for respecting the history by using the same tactics and equipment they tried to take over Finland back in the winter war.

In 2021, Romania was the only Himars user in Europe. We adopted it before it was cool.

A loss of 500k in man power is an insane amount at this point. You shouldn't just throw meat at the grinder. At some point, your supply will dry up and your economy will suffer.

Let's not forget their navy is hiding from a country that doesn't even have a navy. The air forces afraid to fly over ukraine it's a joke

The phrase "nothing to worry about" always worries me. Eternal vigilance and readiness are required for freedom to continue...

you can't compare the two militaries, Russia has almost all the assets it can muster bound up in the conflict in Ukraine, and they would appear to run low on even outdated equipment there, so given a hypotetically war scenario they would be hard pressed to put up a meaningful fight somewhere else. Even where the Ukraine war to end tomorrow, Russia would only have the capability left to bully their much smaller neighbours like Georgia and Kazzakstan.

The 9K32 Manpads seems to have grown a bit, almost to a size of a M142...

you won't believe it, but almost the same was written in 1941 in an old German newspaper!

You graphic intro is wrong. Norway was a fouding member, along side Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Greece and Turkey joined in 1952, West-Gernany in 1955, and Spain in 1982.
After the Wall fell many Eastern Europeean countries also joined in 1999 and later.

Calling the War on Terror successful is proper taking the piss.

If the Soviet Union/Russia never became so Imperialistic after WW2, the formation of NATO would have never been conceived.

How the hell did you leave out Challenger tanks, brimstone and stormshadow missiles from the list?

Suprised that Russia is still in the fight, given how poorly they have performed in Ukraine. They trade lives for time.

Maybe they'd lose because they can't even defeat what amounts to only a sampling of aged NATO weaponry?
