As a Austrian I am for a closer relationship between Austria and NATO. The problem here (in Austria) is that (most) people are hypocrites when it comes to our neutrality, on one hand they don't want to fight for foreign countries on the other hand they expect to be defended by the same whom they are not willing to risk their lifes for.

Another problem with our neutrality is that we are both a strategically important part of Europe (buffer zone between Italy & Germany / France and Hungary and so on) and our capital is not naturally defendet by the Alps + very close to the border of our NATO neighbours, we just don't have the resources to defend ourselves in case of a war, and even if our Neutrality gets respected (which lets be realistic it won't) we will still suffer heavy consequences and probably will get directly damaged by missleaded missiles/nuclear fallout etc.

Also our airspace is very important for both the NATO and their opponents.

We signed a permanent neutrality pact to gain back our freedom and independence, but defending those will be impossible in case of a war if we don't choose a side.

Trump wont leave nato, he said if people dont pay the fair share, then they dont get protection....try not paying you insurance once and see how covered you are...it makes sence...but he never once said we would leave nato.

IIRC‐ Trump's position was that other NATO countries should be contributing their fair share. Pulling out was an improbable end game only if other countries continued to free ride off the US.
