Mahabharatham | மகாபாரதம்!
Bhisman tells Dhritarashtran that he has decided to separate the kingdom. Dhritarashtran gets upset when he comes to know that Bhisman will leave with the Pandavas. The Pandavas decides to ask for a kingdom when they are separating the kingdom. Dhritarashtran asks Bhisman to promise him that he will never leave his side no matter what. Bhisman promises Dhritarashtran that he will be by his side.

Duryodhana was actually named as Suyodhan which means a "Great Warrior", but he changed his name to Duryodhan which means "Impossible to Conquer" OR "difficult to fight with"....
many people have misconception that he is been called as Duryodhana because of his misdeeds.

He clearly knows what is dharma, but he didnt go in that path.
He know what he doing:
Janami dharmam na ca me pravR^tti
Janami adharmam na ca me nivR^tti

"I know what is righteousness, but I do not have the tendency towards it; I know what is immoral, but my tendency is not to give it up."(Mahabharata)

Literally, Duryodhana means "hard to conquer". His chariot bore a flag depicting a hooded cobra...!!
