My 2023 Accord has 15K never had high oil levels or smell of gas in oil. Milage and performance has been great.

Too late, have 3 different L15s in my family. One of them with 129 thousand something miles. None of these engines had issues.

If u live in a cold climate, installing a block heater would be a smart. It will definitely be better for the engines quality of life and oil dilution concerns.

I just got rid of a 2018 6 speed accord with the 1.5T for a brand new Si, had 154, 000 yes 154, 000 on the car. 80% highway miles, oil changes done at 50% and I drove it. Never had a single issue and yes that was the first year for those engines I believe especially in the accord anyway so that would be the “oil dilution years”. Just warm the car up before use, avoid short trips, change oil sooner = infinite reliability.

I've tried this engine in a brand new Accord and I found it harsh, laggy and noisy. I cannot believe some at Honda had approved it and it is now in almost all of their lineup.

Great video thanks. So, with these changes, does it seem that Honda has worked to further mitigate the oil dilution issues the previous gen civics had?

I have a 22 civic 1.5 liter sport touring. I got right when they came out. Has 30k miles on it. Only serviced at the dealer. I’ve had no issues. Runs smooth. Does anyone know the name, or engine code for the 22 1.5 liter?

Please do a similar video on the 2016 - 2021 Honda Civic 1.5 turbo model. It's a popular model!

Thx for sharing. Quick question. Changed Penzoil Ultra Platinum Full Synthetic 0W20 engine oil and honda filter on 2020 CRV 1.5T After that, the engine makes periodic roraing/buzzing sound. Like every 10 seconds lasts for 2 seconds. Oil fill is correct, no oil leaks under, no change in driving pattern m. Any thoughts

Toyota HSD Hybrid:

Great for what you don't get:

No turbos. No annoying start/stop system. No GDI without port injection. No sleazy mechanical CVT. No belts (accessory timing or Wet). No 11 speed torque converter automatic. No automated manual. No torque converter. No 12 Volt starter or alternator. No mechanically driven AC compressor (it's electric like your home refrigerator).

Electric car goodness without the electric car drawbacks.

Is this a good engine? How long should it last? Is there anything bad about a 1.5T engine?
