I have the 22' Civic EX 1.5t with the Hondata & a PRL $100 intake. I can say easily a big difference. I didn't want a manual, so I got the EX. I've beaten several 4cl & 6cl cars. You wouldn't think its fast just being a regular Civic. Love that! It Sneaks up on ya..lol

I remember when i raced my 1.8 miata vs 06 si and ran the same times, trap, and on same track @ 9.9 vs 9.7. The new SI should have a 2.0t engine

My 2021, stock, not tuned hatchback sport ran 2.305 60ft, 6.363 330ft, 9.672 at 73.16 mph. Air temp outside was 45

He keeps saying EX but it looks like the Civic is a Touring cvt. Anyways, good alternative to the Integra cvt will be the Touring hatch cvt, that is until you reflash that Integra (Si engine) as well.

wonder when that cvt says :"good bye, I am done" .... LOL .... I just dont like cvts better to get an SI with manual trans and do the refresh to that !

I actually thought the SI would be faster in the eighth but it turns out the EX was just a little bit better thanks @hondata

Can the 11th gen CVT handle power and tunes like this from what I know they are rather fragile when it comes to power my main reason for not doing anything to my 2023 EX-L hatch I’m tempted but worried to ruin the transmission by tuning it, anybody have insight on this ?

On a tangent, but no one ever considers the K20C2. (toxic side effect from tuners).
My stock 2017 Civic 6MT does 60ft to 1/8 mile 0.7 seconds slower then 2022 Si. Too bad there's no 1/4 miles data. I suspect NA's better use of 3rd gears vtec would lessen the gap. 10th 200lb lesser curb weight does wonders for the twisty bits on the open course.

I have an og Si (EM1) with a k20a. Using your kpro v4, 220whp NA and MUCH lighter than the new one. Haven’t driven a new one… hope the handling is still on par with the og’s.

The civic Si isn’t really meant for straight line speeds anyways. Put the two up against each other on track or auto cross course and let’s see how the outcome will change

Thanks for the comparison. Is there a map for the Civic 2022 Hybrid (eHev) version as well?

I read coments that is kinda difficult to get performance improvements from this car. What is it that prevents extra gains from it? Is the CVT, the turbo setup, or the small 1.5L engine? Or can the car be pushed even more than current 210hp?

But if they both were tuned, it would
Be a different story

This is just sad, Honda really needs to make the Si and Type R a lot more powerful.

Well of course in theory the CVT will be faster. I wonder if it would be any faster if the fake shifts were removed
