Honestly, it's the same with Activision as well. Sort of, Valve and Activision have so much money, yet won't fix their games problems. Their old games/versions are the only things good about them and they won't give a fuck about cheaters

The best way I saw someone describe VAC work is like this: the game is a castle, and to get into the castle you have to get through the main gate. Now the main gate is locked shut with a big wooden bar that stops it from swinging open and letting people in, the bar is VAC, unfortunately the gate does not swing open like a normal door, instead it slides upward like a garage door, rendering the big wooden bar keeping it shut useless.
