Team Fortress 2 (TF2) is a team-based multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed and published by Valve. It consists of nine classes, Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Demoman, Heavy, Engineer, Medic, Sniper, and Spy, and two teams, Red and Blu. The teams try to take the others' objective, such as an intelligence brief case, or a control point.

Why can't Vavle just put out an official statement claiming once and for all their stand point when it comes to TF2, I mean SERIOUSLY, JUST tell the community what their intentions for the game are.

They've moved people away from the project, they're not fixing the bot crisis in a timely manner, and 14, nearly 15 years is a HUGE time for a game to still be relevant. At this point, I think Valve is just moving on to bigger things, and they think that TF2 has run its course. They're still gonna add hats every season just to make a small margin of profit, since its so easy to take stuff from the Workshop, but I think TF2 is now in the hands of the community. Community servers are all anyone can play reliably, it's the community that has let TF2 live for so long, I feel like eventually the playerbase is gonna peter out. New players will be coming in waves, as the bots disappear due to lack of relevance, and reappear once TF2 is "rid of the bot crisis", but no one is going to really be attached to and keep playing the game like the past. People who have played the game for a long time, who are now stuck on community servers, will find it boring after a while. There's such a wide variety of maps and gamemodes that fall by the wayside with community servers, like Mannpower or Snowplow. The majority controls the games people can play, and people who like the more niche game modes will also disappear. All I can really see sticking around are people who play semi-competitively, people who play on 2fort, silly servers, or servers with some weird gimmick like x10. There will still be a community, but it will be drastically smaller with very few new players coming in

Valve would have it so easy. They wouldn't need there own developers, give the thing over to the community and they'll be able to fix it, faster then valve will ever fix anything in tf2.

Valve doesn’t care about the game. They only care the money that the game is making. I’m sure there’s one developer at Valve who wants to work on TF2 but he can’t because he’s been moved to a different project at the moment (for example, the SteamDeck).

Gabe probably cares about the game, but the company of Valve doesn’t.

I’ve never had a computer that can work with TF2 (surprisingly) and when I got my new Pc recently I decided I should give it a try. It was then that I entered the community and realised I was too late. The game had been abandoned and bots were in every server. I regret waiting this long.

I hope they fix it. The entire tf2 community would start a fucking riot at valves main office or something. I’m still new to the game and I want to enjoy it without getting full charged headshoted while cloaked from across the map. I hate bots

You never know, Valve could be working on something that nobody knows about, but as this point Tf2 will die before anything happens.

I only see 2 posibilities, either valve is porting the game to source 2 and we are getting a remaster version of the game in a few years OR wich is more likely they shadow abandoned it, besides hallowen events and chistmass events as well as adding comunity hats I dont believe they will add anything.
We had an amazing run boys but I truly believe that the game will fade away at an accelerated rate if valve dosent do anything soon.It fucking sucks man I played this game for 5 years it was an important part of my life, seeing it struglle like this is like seeing a family members lose itself to dementia, breaks my heart man

To be honest, I feel like TF2, is just gonna end up like Club Penguin Rewritten since they seem to have abandoned it. Maybe some people of the community can take control and fix these issues?

Plot twist: Valve is running the bots because they want to shut down the game without looking like the villain.

Since valve employees are rated on what game they worked on and how long they worked on it theres a chance that the dude who prob fixed the last bot problem is fired or was given a low evaluation score for working on a old game and prob to keep their job worked in other new games like alyx
