I would argue this is the most incorrectly done exercise in a gym. Insane how 95+% of people don’t do a full range leg press, hence they shouldn’t be lifting the weight they are

Most important thing: stop giving a f**k about how much people expect you to lift. It is up to YOU where you take your progress and how much weight YOU can handle.

To be honest, I think have on knees is the best you can do on a leg press. Not to use your arm push every rep, but to have them in perfect position if you hit muscle failure or something unexpected happens and puts you oin danger down there. Keep the hands on the knees.

I started to do heavy lift low but quality rep since i followed and understand him. He lectures a lot about increasing the quality of my rep first instead of my rep or quantity. I'm ever more stronger to do my lifts since then and the progress i made in looks are the bonus of it. Thanks sean

Leg press is the only workout I use strictly light weights (40kg) because I only focus on my upper body, I know my legs aren't that strong even if I wanted to ego lift I'll most likely break my very thin legs. I've observed that that people who can leg press or squat heavy weight are people who naturally have bigger legs. Just like big people can quickly adjust to heavier weight. We should know our bodies limits
