Guys, listen to him. I did lift up my hips once too far, during the leg press, instead of sitting still and not ego lifting. And through that I tore the cartilage that was attachted around my intervertrebral disc. The pain was tremendous and I had problems with my lower back over six months. Since than I never actually ego lifted. I learned my lesson the hard way.

I did this for many years and it's not what caused my back injury, it's what helped cause it. Use good form and it will prevent injury

Thanks Noel for all the videos. Your videos helped me a lot to start going to the gym. And the fact that I don't feel like a complete loser there.
