That narcissist called me today 02/11/2025 after 6 months of silence; I’m so proud of myself that I ignored that call. 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾

Genuine humility always comes with change .. transformation

Forgetting your birthday is pretty low on the spectrum.

Yes, and their admittance also says, "feel bad for me because I hate this part of me! But I'm unwilling to change it so accept my selfish behavior " 🙄

It’s a lack of righteousness. They are not used to doing what is right at all times.

Yep, they do that. And an apology is not an apology when you do the thing again and again, never changing your behavior.

My wife, in a nutshell. I just got to responding to "I cant do anything right.", with, "Nope. But theres time to change."

I also feel like sometimes its a set up. They apologize for the same thing over and over and never do anything to change because they see how much it upsets you when you're having the exact same conversation over and over...

Oh, yes, they do. Their actions still do not change. Also, yet say sorry without change.

“Oh, I’m really terrible at that…”
Not an apology, just a bit of truth.

My dad would act like the victim when he got caught doing something bad. There were times when he was proven totally wrong biblically but he wouldn't admit it, instead he would cry and talk about how everyone hated him and how we were full of hate. He would blame the hate and use hate to cover his being wrong. If anyone ever proved him wrong they were hateful. (This was his attempt to program us to never correct him.) His humility was all fake to get people to feel sorry for him, it was never true repentance. Other times he would go weeks on end giving us the silent treatment. This is what first led me as a 12 year old boy to realize he is extremely immature and not following God. This is not love, this is control. He would also say that he made mistakes in life but he would never name the specific mistakes. (It's all false humility, same as Saul acting like he was sorry when he disobeyed God but he only wanted Samuel around to make him look good to the people, he didn't want to change.) My dad would never say thank you and he would never in his 80+ years say he was ever sorry. He would do exactly as she is describing in this video. He would enter a room and make an assumption and discipline the wrong child through his out of control temper and when it was pointed out to him he was wrong he wouldn't say he was sorry, and he wouldn't discipline the child that deserved it, he would simply walk out of the room trying to hide his shame for being wrong and out of control. Everything was about looking good to him. When we went to visit people's houses he would sit outside in the car warning all of us children that if we made him look bad he would beat us later. He was the worst narcissist I ever knew and it was all cloaked in scripture and supposedly loving God but it was loving himself only. This drove my four older brothers away from the Lord for many years until they realize that God was different than their dad. Narcissus truly are wolves in sheep's clothing.

Amazing video A month ago, my partnership of five years came to an end. The choice to break up with the person I love is something that really gets to me. Even though it's all for nothing, l've done everything I can to get him back, and I couldn't imagine my existence without him. I've tried everything to stop thinking about him, but I still can't help but miss him and think about him often. I don't know why l am saying this here.

I was at a dinner with mother and the MC asked if there were any birthdays to celebrate. She stood and announced her friend's, 5 days earlier. She didn't say a word about mine in 2 day's time. She'd have been upset to know I thought it funny 😂😂

😢 I fell for that many many times 😢 especially when they're Christians and you're supposed to forgive 70x7 and they'll make sure you remember that 😡 "I am really really sorry, please forgive me, pray for me, I just need healing so I won't have to act like that." 🤢 🤮

They'll even admit to a bad behavior that didn't even happen to distract from the actual worse behavior ALL. THE. TIME.

When challenged my mother used to say, "oh you KNOW I say silly things, you mustn't upset yourself". So a put down is only a 'silly thing' l shouldn't react to.

Humility should lead to repentance ( metanoia - μετάνοια in NT Greek = complete change of mind/ doing a 360o reversal of one’s behaviour) and repentance should be distinguished by …” producing appropriate fruits of repentance” Matthew 3:8-10, all this through God’s Grace.
Unfortunately narcissists are who they are due to lack of humility and hence deprive themselves from the Grace of God and the fruits of repentance. And May God shine His light upon them.
Thank you Kris for sharing these words of wisdom, may Christ the Lord bless you richly.
