Показать описание
Attiny is a tiny Arduino compatible micro controller that costs about $1 and is perfect for running off batteries. In this video we look at how to program the attiny and also how to build a DIY shield for programming it.

Parts (I buy all my stuff from Aliexpress):

My Tools & Kit*:

Ts-100 Soldering Iron

Logitech C920 HD 1080p Pro webcam

Blue Snowball USB Microphone

Self Adjusting Wire Strippers

I think this might be my first video to not feature or mention an ESP8266, it must be a Christmas miracle!

Happy Christmas/Holidays everyone!

Blu Tack has made soldering so much easier. I think I saw Julian Ilett using it a few months back and gave it a try and it just makes the entire process so much simpler.

I built my own attiny programmer using the original Arduino ISP programmer board, a 6 pin ribbon cable and a zero force socket 2 years ago ant it works fine. The socket allows to insert and remove the attiny without bending any pins. I also made a bigger version for the larger attiny chips which have up to 12 I/o pins (attiny 44/84). I use those chips a lot because of the wide voltage range they work in as you also mentioned in your video. You can power it from nearly any battery without any voltage regulation.

Happy xmas to you too. Thanks for a very concise and not overly complex intro to programming the attiny.

Thanks for the video Brian and a great tutorial on how to get started with the 'tiny.  I did something similar, making a simple programmer with a cheap Nano clone on a prototyping board and a Zif socket to make it easier to connect/remove the ATTiny85 - I end up doing that a lot!! :-)

The DIL socket has a notch in one end to aid orientation.

Digging up an old video..
i just had me sent two attiny84 for playing around,
now i got arduino leonardo, pro micro, esp8266/d1-mini

since youre all esp8266:
would it be possible to make this work over wlan, so you can "stamp" ISP program the attiny with an esp8266 running from 3xAAAs ?

Need to look for a demo for pro micro now. 😒
