I can usually do this repair without pulling it out, and if the door is too long, I just pull it out slightly, without disconnecting anything, and just take the door off, which is easy to do on newer GE dishwashers, this repair typically takes me 10-15 mins.

Why touch the drain hose when replacing the control board? Seems like extra work.

Yall are so extra 😂 just turn the breaker off and remove the toe kick panel. You can do all of this without removing your entire house
