I trade the MES. I Normally start with 5 contracts and dollar cost average as I go, and let it set for hours, days and or over the weekend until I hit my ideal decent profit.

Note: Take the profit when you can, and NOT when you have to. Do NOT get greedy!

It's scary, but its the only trade where I make $600-$2000 within in hours, a day or two.

I STRONGLY recommend to NOT trade Futures with small account. Small I mean $25, 000. It is doable, but you are limiting your success if your strategy goes against you.

Futures csn move up and down so quickly.

And do NOT use MARGIN.
You thank me later.

Studying the price movements is the key. At least works perfectly for my strategy.

Brandon, why would you not trade futures with the TOS platform? Curious if there's a significant downside of trading with TOS...

Another thing about options is the pre-market trading can really burn your P/L.... so for example, the price of the stock could drop 15%.

But you can't do anything about it until the market opens at 9.30 am. 50% (or more) of the option value could just go kaput in seconds.

Options are better to add in more contracts with less risks than futures because it's discounted if it goes against you, whereas futures, more add in equals more risks. But in order to make it work for you, strike price will have to be in the money and you'll have to understand market projection (where the market wants to go).
I'm day trading both options and futures rn because the market moves based on the options market, not the futures. So i trade based off of my options strategy on both platforms.
