Is Rice Healthy | White Rice or Brown Rice? is a comprehensive guide to making the best choice when it comes to eating rice.

Is rice healthy or not is a common question that people ask and honestly it's a pretty convoluted answer because it really depends. When we look at rice it is a food that people consume in high amounts. Certain countries like China are the biggest consumers of rice and have been eating rice at a high level for thousands of years.

Is brown rice healthier than white rice is a topic that we have to explore further to find the true answer. White rice is stripped of its nutrients and as a results white rice is almost nutritionally useless. An interesting thing happens though with white rice. The strip the bran from it but when doing so they also strip the high arsenic content that is found in brown rice.

White rice vs brown rice is hard to understand. On one hand the brown rice is more nutrient dense but on the other, brown rice has all the arsenic making it toxic to consume. Arsenic has an affinity for the bran on d because the brown rice has the bran it ultimately becomes a toxic rice full of arsenic.

So when you ask is rice unhealthy it depends. White rice is unhealthy because it is a high glycemic carb without any nutritional value, but then you have brown rice which is nutrient dense but contains arsenic. So the question becomes what should you do? It is best to use an organic brown rice that is sprouted or germinated. This will yield you the best results for your health.

So when you ask is brown rice healthy, it is ultimately the healthier of the two. But is only healthy if you use sprouted organic and use proper methods for cooking it. You don't want to use any other methods that don't offer you great results when it comes to eating rice.

The best rice to eat is brown rice that is sprouted and organic. If you cant find it at your local grocery stores I included a link down below as to where you can find good quality rice that offer the best results for improving your health. It is not loaded with arsenic and the good news is that according to ancient Chinese culture, it is considered a food that actually improves your energy system in your body.

People have been living off rice for thousands of years. Why are we blaming rice for anything? People are eating tons of fast food and sugar first off, rice is the least of your problems.

Asians eat rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. However, they live longer, and they have very low obesity rate. Rice isn't the culprit. It's the people's lifestyle.

There has been so much controversy about white rice vs. brown rice! I used to eat long grain white rice, but decided to start eating brown rice because I thought it was a healthier choice, however, I read an article about arsenic in brown rice so I stop eating brown rice all together. Now I buy Jasmine or Basmati rice, and on rare occasions, I will still eat a little white rice and brown rice. Thank you so much for clarifying this for me!

Eating rice isn't a problem, to much junk food and lack of exercise will lead to type 2 diabetes.

Persian rice cooking is to cook with excess water, once it boiled around 15-20 minutes, then strain the water and then steam cook it for another 20 min or so
Not to mention, we soak the rice for couple hours in water and salt prior to boil as well.
That’ll take care of arsenic content

Doctor i saw a popular video about cooking rice with little coconut oil then refrigerating it and eating it the next day.. it reduces calories and the rice almost acts as a fibre.. i tried it and felt really good.. it had a cooling effect on my stomach and helped in bowel movements too..

rice is for asian southeast. wherein the diet us mainly rice, bean, fish and vegetables. seldom and occasional on dairies, baked sweet bread and cookies and pastries, meat once in a while, and potatoes. thats why it would be too much for westerner to add rice on their diet because their carb intake and sugar is already beyond the limit...

Rice has starches, so to reduce the calories and glycemic index you cook the rice then refrigerate it for 12 hrs or more.
What this does, about 1/2 of the carbohydrates become long chain carbs that we cannot digest, so they pass to the large intestine as prebiotics for our prebiotics (double benefit)
