I used to think new mothers had too many perks eg mat. leave. I was resentful picking up the slack.
Before I went on maternity leave, my boss said "enjoy your vacation" I laughed at that thinking of all the time off.
Fast forward, i haven't slept in 3 months and being at work was a lot easier than taking care of a newborn who only sleeps when he's being fed. I have to schedule in time for bathroom breaks and I'm washing/sterilizing bottles at 2am.
