What is WHEY PROTEIN & CREATINE? Why should you take them?

So the only supplements I currently take are whey protein and creatine, and honestly, they’re really the only ones you need. Here’s why. Creatine is naturally produced in your body, but it’s made in very small amounts, and taking a supplement to increase its availability will allow for more ATP production which just means more energy. This improves your performance and recovery which leads to greater muscle mass, strength, and since creatine also pulls water into your muscles, you’ll end up looking bigger and fuller. Whey protein, is simply the watery portion of protein that separates during the process of making cheese, then it’s isolated, combined with some flavoring and made into a powder. So basically it’s just powdered food packed with protein making it easier to hit your daily requirement. Not to mention it’s actually the fastest digesting protein , and it contains all 9 essential amino acids which can only be obtained through your diet. You only need like 1-2 scoops per day and the rest of your protein should come from whole food sources. As for creatine, you should take 5 grams everyday to keep your body saturated. But that’s all I take currently and I hope that helps.

Remember folks, these are supplements, meaning that they SUPPLEMENT your diet. They’re not some magic pill and they’re not gonna fix an already poor diet. They will however make it easier to adhere to that diet with minor improvements in performance, recovery, and strength. So just remember, no supplement is absolutely necessary, but these are the 2 I find most helpful.

Creatine is not for everyone, whilst I was on it for a month, I noticed intense cramps all over my body. When I got an intense cramp in my chest, I decided to stop because I thought I was having a heart attack. Since I've stopped I've continued with whey protein and seen great results

Creatine is just a dream world
Connects a few kg of water to the muscles, which is then excreted 100% in the urine at the end of the treatment
So an unnecessary waste of money on creatine
However, consuming protein powder is important after every workout

I don’t think I’ll take creatine bc of the hair thinning and the increase of the hormone that speeds up hair loss.
I didn’t realize how many people experienced this so I’m just gonna stay off it and stay with just my protein powder as my only supplement👍

As a Student on Budget, I think buying raw chicken is better value for money than Whey protein as Chicken has 2.5 Times more Protein.
I would definately buy Whey if i had money to buy Whey Protein.

I’m allergic to shellfish and I heard creatine comes from shelled foods. Does creatine supplement have that same effect?
